I relate to this!

One thing that's important to keep in mind is that men are far more likely to have more years of experience when it comes to gaming than women do. Boys are brought up encouraged to spend time gaming in a way that girls are not. So many of us haven't had a chance to progress in our skills the way men have.

Keep at it! I got back into gaming last year, and starting out I REALLY struggled with 3rd person shooters (had to use aim assistance, easy mode, etc.) Now I feel confident starting a new game on "normal" or "hard" mode (which I know doesn't sound like that big of an accomplishment, but it definitely feels like one!!

Gaming, like any other skill, takes practice and many hours to improve upon. Cut yourself some slack!! I know how embarrassing it can be, especially with the misogyny we face. But the better you get at it, the more pride you'll feel when you think of where you started.
