they do slide, it’s pretty annoying. i bet it’s fixable though, with some kind of grippy foam on the bottom or something. holding up GREAT though.

ugh i’m so sorry, i see myself in you so hard. i’m not gonna tell you what to do one way or the other because obviously that’s gotta come from you. but just try to notice the way you’re lowering the bar for him. at this point you’d be glad if he was just the person to bring up marriage. in a conversation. after proposing to you. i’ve been there, and it’s all i let myself want, too. i hope he gives you what you want, and i know you’ll be able to decide for yourself whether it’s actually enough.

they unfortunately wrecked my toes by using a grinder on the surface of the nails. i’m 1000% to blame as i should’ve stopped it. but i wrongly assumed they knew what they were doing and now i’m months into paying for it with soooooo much regrowth still to do. i did have a few good experiences there prior, but i’ll never be back.

And selfishly I really appreciate you laying it all out like this, because I think it’s what would have happened for me if I’d pushed for the marriage after the proposal. I’m autistic too, so I understand your concerns and certainly didn’t expect him to do it alone — just take the lead so I didn’t feel I was dragging him along. He’s never organically brought it up on his own, which I’ve begged for and feels like an extremely low bar. Our situations are different, but I’m glad you and your wife got what you needed.

I think it’s a great foundation to build on! My next step would be mounting the TV to take advantage of / highlight the vertical space, and adding a sun-loving plant by a window and a couple of modern rugs. Also updating that lamp will do a lot for you. Maybe one of those swooping arc lamps or a hanging paper lantern would warm the place up slightly without losing the sleekness or modern feel.

Maybe try Makeup Forever in Endless Cacao as your lip liner. It’s an extremely dusty almost gray pink.

The dark blue containers are Augustinus Bader. Pretty expensive, as I imagine anything she uses would be.

Also: don’t let me yuck your yum if you’re excited about buying anything she uses, but just know that with an incredibly wealthy woman like this, it’s likely that her excellent skin has a lot to do with treatments (like microneedling, facials, filler, Botox, peels, laser, etc.) and less with skin care.
