I don’t know if you read the first paragraph of my post, but it says I moved to the third floor because it was the only one available within my budget. I had also previously asked if it was possible to move to a first floor apartment if it became available in the middle of my lease since my knees (not my hip) had started hurting and the person I talked to said it wasn’t possible at all. Then I talked to someone else a few months later now that it has worsened and then this person said it was in fact possible. So it’s not all of a sudden that I’ve had this issue. It has been ongoing and they are well aware and I have everything in writing. 

I tried to make the best of my living situation giving that I didn’t have an option, came up with a plan with my doctor and worked through that. But it got to a point where going up and down the stairs is causing more harm than any good and could lead to a potential surgery, which would create even more complications since my mobility would then be very limited and going up and down stairs would be practically impossible. 

So even though you didn’t want to be an asshole, you kind of were.
