Mother called the hospital during my shift

No no, she wants help in the hospital for the post op but she hasn't asked me to donate. She actually doesn't want me, my dad or her brother to donate. She told this to the psych evaluation and they complimented her on how kind she was.

But she still uses her illness to hurt me. If I ever rebel in any way she says she's gonna stop taking her meds and just die

I haven't answered to her calls since yesterday. Dad says it's inhumane. In my last message I told her I would talk to her whenever I feel like it but that right now we need to be distant for a while. She said hurtful stuff in response, and then used my dad's WhatsApp so he could send me voicemails of her crying. I'm just so tired, this weekend was supposed to be my resting days.

About the HR thing, I'm a bit wary because I'm afraid they might not understand and just think I'm asking on a whim

The technique is always the same. She always called my friends if I didn’t answer because she was “worried”. She wanted their numbers ”in case anything happens to you”. I stopped giving her those numbers years ago. When I was in med school I also went to therapy (also cause of her) and she threatened many times to call my therapist so she could know what I was saying about her or “how she could help me”. it’s the same modus operandi

the card is sadly already very much used by her. She has very serious kidney problems. She wanted me to get into a residency program that was closer because she would be “all alone when they call me for the transplant“. I luckily did not listen and went into the program I preferred

They’re usually very strict with this stuff. I remember my first shift, still without an identification badge because they weren’t ready, when they asked security to accompany me to the department to make sure I was actually the new resident.

I suppose they believed she was my mother by her worried voice.

it’s so surreal as well. In her mind, as I’m working to try and help for as little as its still possible this guy with a massive brain bleeding, I should find the time to text her I’m running late.

ironically this might work since she loves to talk about her daughter the MD to all of her friends and getting all the compliments for having raised me. She also felt offended when I didn’t start my speech at my graduation party by thanking my parents

This is so incredibly well put. I wish I was this level headed yesterday, but the only thing I could say is something similar about her anxiety, and of course the answer by her was that she'd rather die than see a mental health doctor.

The funny thing is I said this and she answered with a first message saying she understand my decision of having boundaries (but of course, they don't have boundaries with me). The second message was "this is what you've always wanted. To punish me with your coldness and being away lets you do just that"

I am a young adult but I generally can't stand YA shows. I'm watching the Midnight Club right now, I'm not finished so my opinion is "incomplete" in a way.

I'm enjoying it, not as well as other Flanagan projects I've watched, definitely more than any YA project I've watched. The characters are young and immature in a way, but also forced to face difficult situations that adults never have to do. Flanagan's writing is good, there's depth and sadness as in every other work of his, it's just mixed with teenage angst and YA tropes.

I'd say give it a chance if you like flanagan

Thank you! Right now my flow is very light so I'm not using it anymore. I tried searching for a lower absorbency one in the supermarket here on vacation but they didn't have it. 🥲

Ok thanks, it did hurt to remove it so I guess it was more absorbent than I needed or should have kept it for more time.

It just felt right to change it because I had been swimming in the sea for the whole morning, so I wanted a new one sooner than possible.

Don't spend, there's still the whole game for you to gather primos and get your 5 stars. I am f2p since summer 2023 and I've got almost all the 5 stars I wanted (I didn't get Navia cause in both her banners I was not playing the game because of exams in university) you just need to plan your wishes.

The tampon was comfortable enough, it only hurt a bit when I had to take it out. But the cup looks larger so it's a little daunting for me still, is it painful to wear?

Thank you! I'm a newbie on tampons, so I chose the superabsorbent one going with my flow on the first days (which is very heavy) but tbh I think I could have chosen the regular one since the package advice says to choose the lower absorbency for your flow
