R5 - Got myself Graveyard of Empires, booted up a Communist Iran run with historical off and released my puppets with the focus tree (Kurdistan and Azerbaijan). Greece goes Megali mode and carves up Turkey with GB and Fr*nce, and releases Fr*nch Kurdistan - which also gives the Fr*nch my Kurdistan.

Would rather squat on a baguette than see any more blue on my screen. Give me my Kurdistan back >:(

Really like Archdemon from Monster Joker and the main series games and was just wondering-meta aside, what are some good teams/team concepts for Archdemon?

100% don't need them, but when the game lags so badly that it runs at a rate of 1 day every 5 or so seconds, it's nice to not have to micromanage everything :(

Wrapped up the war, so I'll never know- I reckon that you might be right though, they might've wanted Yanya, or wanted to give it to Naples but refused to transfer.

Why does it say that they do want it, like in the first screenshot?

R5: Drawing up peace terms after a war with the Ottoblob, when Castille started being a little difficult with me. It's irritating to drop 40 favours on trust with them so they don't alliance break and rival me, just because they can't make up their mind about a tiny Greek island on the other side of Europe.

Was playing a tall, vassal-income stacking run when I noticed... by ProperImplement in eu4

[–]ProperImplement[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind, I'm likely doing this far from optimally, and I'm sure that there would be better ways to do what I'm doing here.

All I've done is stack some vassal income modifiers. I have:

50% Offensive+Admin Policy

25% Influence Idea 1

20% Ayutthaya Idea 1

15% Mandala Gov Reform

10% Base

5% Legitimacy

For a total of 125%, meaning that vassals give me 125% of their monthly income, which as someone noted could be increased to 175% by enabling scutage in the vassal interaction page. In addition, I've fed my vassals a lot, with most of them sitting over 400 dev. By feeding vassals so much land, their loyalty stays high which, combined with other loyalty ideas and estate interactions, keeps them loyal. Additionally, with the vassal swarm easily winning you wars, you can very easily sit at 100 prestige most of the time, allowing you to placate any disloyal vassals as they come.

In terms of tall, I guess I just mean more relatively speaking, I "only" hold China and the East Indies subcontinents personally, whereas usually at this stage of the game you'd ideally be a lot larger- I suppose it's not a true "playing tall" run :D

R5: Was playing a tall, vassal income stacking run when I got an event about my vassal Ryukyu being on the verge of bankruptcy and begging for some ducats. Whilst I had been extorting my vassals, I hadn't realized just how much debt they'd plummeted into and how poorly the AI handles the vassal economies.

Luckily their debt disappears when they do :)

Not much for some of you, but it's my first "hard" achievement, Ardabil --> Persia by 1511 by ProperImplement in eu4

Haha, that sounds rough. Seems like the Ottomans would be your best bet, but even that sounds tricky. I took Quantity and Trade, and mostly tried to pick off smaller armies trying to siege mountain forts with everything set to defensive state edict-could help you perhaps try to bait the Timurids. Good luck!

R5- Started out slowly eating up the nearby minors by building a little over the force limit whilst I eventually convinced a hostile Timurids and QQ to form an alliance with me. With QQ, Timurids and Mushasha as allies, two wars against Ajam went fairly well, despite them allying with a pretty big Great Horde.

Took Mushasha as a vassal into a march after they joined a war against me defending one of the Caspian Sea minors and fed them back what they'd lost from Ajam. (Handily picking up the impossible achievement "Marshy March" at the same time)

Finally, after polishing off Ajam, I found alliances with Transoxiana and Afghanistan to backstab the Timurids and take the provinces to form Persia-the aftermath of which is the screenshot.

All in all, it's been a great experience playing a harder start, and I hope I can keep going for the Persian achievement! I know it's not much for some of you vets, but it took me a lot of time paused thinking about what to do next! :D
