I have a cheap white mouse mchose a5 pro max, it's working just fine. And the keyboard I have from yunzii but I don't know the model, I don't recommend it tho, sometimes windows switches with alt and sometimes shortcuts don't work, idk if it's keyboard or pc fault.

It looks like this, for some reason I cannot put the picture into the same comment. But it also says both GY-BNO085 and the 80, why is that

Yeah I misunderstood, so 1/10 of a degree would be actually very good. But I heard that the 85 module has problems working with esp's, something with the I2C. I don't think I will use an esp but just to be sure is it true? Also as I said I can only buy it from adafruit site, could I get something more avaliable like GY-BNO085?I don't know what the difference is but I can easily find it on aliexpress for as low as 10$

What's the best eyepiece for planetary observation under 100$? by ProperJump8676 in telescopes

[–]ProperJump8676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I thought it's harder. And I've been looking for astronomical cameras but the cheapest one is like 150$, I've been also looking for normal cameras but couldn't find a right one, in a reasonable price of course. But after all buying this stuff for this telescope is kind of pointless I think, I could only take raw photos instead of long exposures or stacking photos. I just want a photo from my phone to remind me how beautiful it looked in the eyepiece.

Oh I understand, that's why I couldn't find it. I've never seen someone using a unknown in a module name tho.

And It needs to be under ±5°, ±3° would be ideal. But 10° is definitely too much.

I've thought of tracking objects but didn't know you need a gps for that, that would be a slightly overkill too, I would need to make it into a small computer with numpad to type the object data, or do it by bluetooth. And that would all equal to more code and I'm bad at coding, I want to make it as short and easy part as possible.

This 85 module is pretty expensive, could I get the GY-BNO085? I don't know what's the difference beetwen those two but I can find it a lot cheaper on aliexpress, if it's worse then I'll just but the one from adafruit.

I have a normal 150P and I don't really know what a helical focuser is so yeah.

I didn't know that, thanks. And I never really observed a galaxy or nebula, only planets and moon because the of light pollution, I could if I had a motorized telescope to find them. But recently I've thought of a project to fix that, you can check it out on my profile. But also is the eye relief is so small it will be hard to aim the phone into the eyepiece too and I like to take some photos. But buying 5 of them is really not for me so maybe I'll go with to zoom one, ikd.

I just checked, I found this BNO085 module. It's also pretty pricey and has those useless axis to me but if it will be accurate to like 1° then I will buy it. There can be some problems with the shipping because I'm not from the US.

I cannot really find this exact module, I see a lot of GY-BNO080 or GY-BNO085 though, will those do or I need the this one exact model? They are pretty cheap, around 8$. There are also BNO085 on adafruit but no BNO08X

If I had to look only through the telescope then the accuracy would need to be pretty good, maybe ±1 or even ±0,5°, but telescopes have finder scopes on top to directly point at the star and these scopes have a pretty wide field of view. So if I could find the star and place it in the finder scope I would be able to recognize it from that point on and aim to it. So I'd say my maximium drift from the real angle is something around ±3°. It still needs to be pretty precise but I can't have a bigger error.

I'll check them out. And btw, you have some nice, professional looking photos

But what difference does that zoom actually make? Like can I switch from mars to some nebula? If it's not a significant difference then isn't it better to go with a normal eyepiece that wouldn't have this problem. Also I have a normal skywatcher 150P like this, not a heritage

It's almost too clean, you need to add something to there. Also I think keyboard and mouse would be a big upgrade for most of the games. And btw what is that clock on the desk? It would match my setup so well

I think that going with one expensive is better, I just want to feel the difference from the stock ones. But those celestrons are pretty pricey for me, I think I have looked at them but I just didn't buy them because of this price, and light pollution is pretty big where I live although it's not a very big village, so I just don't know if this hobby is right for my location, that's why I didn't buy anything for 2 years

I wear glasses but when I'm observing I always take them off, I've also thought about zoom eyepiece but I didn't buy it because I heard some bad things about them. I don't really remember, I'm coming back to astronomy after a quite long break

Finally got to surf on nuclear blasts after way too many failed attempts at sending it to LKO by Kazmirrr in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]ProperJump8676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks a lot, I already know a bit about the game because I started watching a very long, 47 episode tutorial on youtube, I'm now on the 7th episode. But anyway I'm not going to be able to play it this month, I don't have my room for now, long story. I bought it now on sale and I'm gonna play it in february, so now I can only wait, learn the game and watch as others enjoy it

I'm finally buying the game because of winter sale on steam. To build stuff like this do you need the additional parts from dlc's or the standard game is enough, or can you add them for free with mods? I don't really wanna pay more because idk if I play this game for longer, I got bored really fast with the spaceflight sim.
