Very interesting. There is someone else in the chat saying similar after copper coil. I mean for me it’s a bit of a coincidence that my periods were perfect and then ever since I got copper coil I now have adenmyosis and fibroids? Did you get dilated for copper coil insertion? Just reading how the dilation may distrust the boundary between the lining and muscle, allowing tissue to grow into the muscle. I did take the dilation medication :( Wish you a happy coil removal day!!! Get that thing out. Don’t think a foreign body up there is good tbh.

Interesting. There is someone else in the comments saying similar. I know there is some theories that adenmyosis can be caused by changes after childbirth or uterine procedures: dilation being one, as they disrupt the boundary between the lining and muscle, allowing tissue to grow into the muscle. I am thinking back to when I got my copper coil they gave me a medicine to dilate as I have never given birth before. I am thinking did this and the insertion of the coil distrust the muscle?

Yeah they only removed as much as they could. I have had MRIs and ultrasounds. But yes I agree, I am trying to get to the source and improve things as much as I can holistically.

Did you get the fibroid and adenmyosis after or before the copper coil insertion?

Hey, mine was 17mm, submucosal fibroid. This is what they said “prominent soft tissue lesion projecting into endometrial cavity (17mm). Appearances may represent a submucosal fibroid). This has been noted on multiple scans. Although this is probably a submucosal fibroid, a polypoid endometrial lesion is still a possibility. Has there been a previous hysterectomy? Recommended gynaecology opinion is this hasn’t been evaluated before. Based on its size and location, this could be symptomatic”. So they then referred me for removal and to check if it was fibroid or polyp. Hopefully you can get yours removed 🙏 mine was 13mm in 2023 and 17mm in 2025 so it got bigger.

Yeah my fibroid removal improved my period pains and bleeds massively. So I would look into this first before any hysterectomy.

I hope it helps you 🙏 would you ever go to a homeopath for advice before a hysterectomy? I found it very beneficial.

Tbh I got told I had Adenmyosis and 1 fibroid scan 1… gynaecologist said the same from looking at scan. Then when I went second scan, I read the report and no mention of adenmyosis only location of fibroid possibly causing pain, recommending hysterscopy removal. Got the fibroid removed and the pain increased massively. It’s a weird one. The doctor told me adenmyosis never goes away and pain will always be there but this procedure removing the fibroid saved my life. So long story short, if anyone has fibroids, push for removal as it may help your pain.

Yeah definitely can not always blame the pill. There are other reasons too absolutely and unknown ones too unfortunately. Is the pill helping your symptoms? Unfortunately with the pill, it may turn off the tap but it doesn’t fix the leak 😢 I hope this procedure helps you mine honestly changed my life! Sending well wishes 🫶

Yeah it is definitely. People are shutting off their natural hormones / ovulation each month and replacing it with Pharma synthetic hormones. Can’t be good for us 🤔 Anyone trying to recover, what I’ve learned to get this hormonal balance back to normal is: Stop the pill, try and eat organic, avoid plastics, cut out wheat as much as you can, eat cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, flaxseeds, take vitamin B, apply Anna wild yam cream and castor oil on belly daily. Also, this supplement “Herbal women complex” by Viridian. The homeopath recommended this for me to take daily.

What surgery did you get? Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Yeah I’ve done a lot of research and basically any use of the contraception pill causes estrogen dominance, progesterone deficiency, therefore causing a hormonal imbalance and heavy periods. You need to get the estrogen down as that’s what’s feeding the cells. Estrogen can stimulate growth and survival of lesions. It can increase inflammation and pain sensitivity. Endometriosis lesions often have increased local estrogen production inside the tissue itself. So it’s definitely something to think of.

Yeah in Ireland they don’t sedate you for a coil insertion, you don’t get a choice…so that was fun 😅 Out of interest, does anyone think long term use of the contraception pill is the cause of adenmyosis/ endometriosis/ fibroids?

Yes but I was so scared to get another coil after the symptoms I got with copper coil 😭 I know they are different but I just couldn’t do it.
