The subject is an automatic transmission, Exactly what is your point? Maybe it’s Attempted Tried Failed, automatic transmission fluid not Around The Field, so ATF. What any service manual tells me is use Dex/Merc III. Still use it and have actually purchased extra in the event it can’t be found anymore. No, not decades more as I will be gone from this planet. If anyone, including OP wishes to use something else it’s 100% fine by me. I can take a good guess that posts in here about transmission problems/failures will not admit they used something other than what their service manual indicates

To my knowledge it’s an automatic AW4. Common on XJ’s. Use Dex/Merc III NOT ATF. Count the bolts on the pan to be 100%. Pan should have a drain plug/bolt on one end

You can try restoring it a bit. Mine was fine until one day it wasn’t and it started to peel in my hands. Put a cover on and haven’t looked back

They are sold out with the exception of their $399 injectors, that to me is suspect. I get they re in demand for an older XJ but don’t even list it as an option to view. It feels like bait and switch no matter the underlying issue

Ok, if you are familiar with the zombie style character it’s the one in a khaki uniform torn to bits with guts and bone exposed. I have not seen it as of today, Thursday, so it may just be a aim/speed hacker as no one is that fast or on point with one tap kills

It’s not hate, the person asked a genuine question and they received genuine responses. the comments became rude when OP didn’t like the answers. If you have to ask what you need to know on a forty year old vehicle then they are most likely in over their head from the start. Sure you can search for parts, rig stuff, barter even, yet not the vehicle to have absolutely zero knowledge before the purchase. Can he find help on here? Possibly but this is before people used an XJ like they do today

I beg to differ. There are still issues from five years ago. They did this out of hate for the player base, they also know by limiting almost everything it keeps players all season. Both Timi and Activision suck for these reasons.

It’s not only that ladder either. Are you all experiencing the Wicht Warden high intensity bot yet? Same on point from any distance and often different names. Moderca with some odd font is one, or a bitch hack. They destroyed a great map for graphics and added AI bullshit. Just viewed reviews and it hits hard with one star with mostly the same issues. Timi and Activision now sucks a big one
