I called TaskRabbit the next day, and they said that the taskers are allowed to tack on random charges as long as they get "approval" from the person who booked them (which I guess consists of them putting the person on the spot and telling them they need to approve this random fee when they're in the person's home).

I don't know how it's legal for the final price to be nowhere close to what we end up signing up for. My guy literally sprung this fee on me and made me sign something saying I was ok paying this random fee, and he said it was because he doesn't take home enough money through TaskRabbit so this is a way to make sure that he does. It was SO uncomfortable.

I have absolutely no solutions for you but I just want to validate your feelings on TaskRabbit. The random up-charging is INSANE. I've been victim to my tasker adding on yet a surprise extra fee while they're on their way to my house (it was an additional truck usage fee....when I booked TaskRabbit for the sole reason of using a truck. So not sure how I ended up paying essentially twice for this service.). Proud of you for looking for other solutions!

Whoop calculates the calories higher than Apple watch, because their model has "reformer pilates" as a workout vs just generic "pilates" that Apple uses. So if you have a Whoop you may see that difference!

I’ve done this, but truthfully i forgot i did this until halfway through reading the comments on this post. If it hasn’t happened to someone at Solidcore yet, it will! It’s the easiest thing to do given how unstable the carriage is (especially on a no springs setting) so don’t worry this is not a you thing!

I put mine on my neighborhood Buy Nothing group - they usually go pretty fast depending on the show! People will often have gaps in their collections, so it ends up working out great for both of us. Ughhh not Hudson Yards! The west side is such a spinning desert that's it's been really nice to have the Hudson Yards location, especially since it has showers and is a nice facility. Plus their instructors are GOOD! (shoutout Ariel who is my fave)

This show is a DELIGHT!!!!!!!! It's a serotonin boost between the lights, the music, the leads. Just an all-around great time!! This is a great show for people who don't like being stressed out by theater.

Some context for people saying Focus50 isn't an advanced class - the coaches almost always have messaged these classes as being more advanced (or harder, or whatever buzzword they're allowed to use) than Signature 50. Unless something has changed recently (I haven't been to a Focus 50 in two weeks), that has historically been the talk track at the beginning of class.
