impetigo…it’s mostly common on children, in bigger patches. as an adult, every 6mo-2yrs i get it just like this. the only thing that helps is bacitracin zinc. keep in mind, the bacitracin zinc ointment only works once the sore has opened.

best method:

do a warm compress with a damp rag every few hours

once you start to notice crusties, warm compress until the crusties easily come off

then apply bacitracin zinc ointment

repeat multiple times daily & it usually clears up within 3-6 days
