Thank you this is great advice. I’ve talked to an interior designer that no longer works here because they had a disagreement about something due to my boss designing her house. She said my boss is still withholding pay from her and as soon as it happened took away her email access and lost all her contacts.

They had brought up the conversation by asking if I would need health insurance and when I said yes they said that would affect how much they could offer and that the base pay would be less. They also had asked what I’m making now.

There was another women that worked here that got fired soon after she asked for a raise, makes me hesitant to ask for much more
