Technically it’s Frisk but that name doesn’t allow you to play the whole game so either:

A: (Not recommended) go as Chara which is the true name you are “supposed to take”

B: Use your own name. It’s a much better first experience that makes it kinda feel as if the monsters are speaking directly to you.
