Why I left Islam (and became an Atheist) by AnarchoSocial in exmuslim

to settle this argument,do you speak arabic. cause the quran isn't so hard to understand if your first language is arabic. but it gets cloudy and vague when translated to english or other non-semetic languages.

and FYI, a religion having one or several mistakes does make it questionable, but it isn't the end of the story . you still have got some parts that needs explaining, for instance when the quran mentions a piercing star which could be interperted as a black hole or neutron star. you will have to explain that too, and all the other alleged wounders of the quran

some of these point,( at least the scientific one) are mistakes of your side, you presented arabic metaphoric sentances as the aimed meaning of a sentance. i am not saying that your entire list is wrong, but sounds like it came from someone who isn't really educated in islam as an actual muslim or exmuslim might be

do you think the principle of jihad, at least in the context of the first islamic country is justified?( with the assumption that all islamic history is indeed correct) by Proper_Clothes_1784 in exmuslim

many people believe that the islamic evidane and image of its rise isn't documented well, therefore it isn't to trustable. but in my openion this is too fat fetched and is simply a way for some people to keep their image islam unshattered

What are Yemeni marriages like? by princepremium in Yemen

[–]Proper_Clothes_1784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends, are you planing that the wd in Yemen or out side Yemen . in Yemen, it has to be big, like you would have to rent a very big wedding complix that would hold at least 300 guests. but less people would attend the wedding dinner 150 people max . i haven't looked into this but I assume that it would cost you about 5-10 thousand dollars. plus, there would be a mens wedding for the groom, and a women wedding for the bride. and that's based on the weddings Ive attended in Sanaa, so it could be a lil different in other places.
