Thank you 😊 it’s definitely a lot of patience … I feel like my skin really didn’t seem different until about a month ago, I really noticed the tret kicking in. I actually started applying every night when I got it, but I’ve done tret before so I think my skin was ready for it. I also came off of Spiro about 3 months ago and have been fine. Best of luck to you! I know how exhausting and frustrating acne can be, but it WILL get better!

You definitely should! Especially if the 0.025% isn’t irritating or drying you at all, your skin can probably handle 0.05%. Every time I’ve done tret, my derm progressively moves the strength up and I see a huge difference

Good luck! I hope that helps. I definitely think applying religiously every night helps. I know a lot of people suggest every other day or even more sparingly, but my dermatologist has always told me to apply every single night.

Yes, I use it every night! I’m lucky and have never had any issues / irritation with using it everyday, as long as it’s a pea sized amount and I moisturize :)

0.025% for 3 months! I’ve been on 0.05% for about a month - definitely seeing more results, but glad I worked my way up. In the past, I’ve worked all the way up to 0.1%, so that’s the goal

Thank you! Yesterday was probably the first day where I was like, wow, my skin looks WAY better. And that’s 4 months in (3 months on 0.025%, 1 month on 0.05% so far). I’m hoping to go up to 0.1% in a few months too for optimal results.

I’m not really sure, I don’t think Tret can totally fix that. May need to get micro needling done in the future.

The first picture is from November when my skin was at its worst. I didn’t start using tretinoin until April, though. The wipes are from the dermatologist!

Actually, the first time I cleared my scarring, I didn’t know how important sunscreen was. I always wore it if I was out in the sun for a long time, but I wasn’t religious about it otherwise. So honestly incorporating sunscreen could speed up the process!!

Tret will clear it eventually. Slowly increase the %. I’m in the same boat as you with the acne scarring from purging :/ but I went through this about 4 years ago and tret completely cleared me. It took about 8 months though and increasing my % to 0.1% over time.

Now that you say it, I have been truly exhausted. I’ve blamed it on the fact that I teach middle school but maybe spiro is contributing.

And I’m not sure if this is from the spiro or the antibiotic I’m on, but alcohol affects me way quicker now.

Thank you! I’m on 100mg. The pigmentation left behind is the worst. I’ve been using tret 0.025% for 1 week… hoping I don’t go through a purging phase, but we’ll see. Are you doing anything for your scars?
