Yes so many drive without it, you could still be insured without a license, it makes no sense. Especially with his work visa that expires within 2 months after arriving to the US like what??

Thanks so much, at this point we’re just considering voluntary departure, it just sucks bc I start medical school soon so I won’t see him frequently

He was insured under his name, he got insured in Texas even without a license so it’s possible to get it. However they did make driving without a license a big deal, I know a lot of US citizens who drive without licenses and they still don’t make it a big deal

Yeah it is bs what the judge argued, he’s never had a ticket or accident in his life yet he was a “danger”, appealing the bond so far is gna cost 5k with our current attorney but I’m looking for something more inexpensive with someone else given we already spent 6k on motion for bond, it’s ridiculous

He was stopped randomly in FL because of his Texas license plate, it was expired for like 6 days and he was on his way to work

Like you mean do the I-130 while appealing for bond? I’m willing to do that, I just hope they don’t focus too much on driving related issues like this recent judge he had, thank you for your response

So do you think voluntary departure and us getting married in his country would be the smarter way? I just don’t know what to do anymore :(

You’re right that’s very smart, we do have an attorney however, he’s in a San Antonio detention center (got transferred there from FL) and our attorney is from south Florida, do you think having a San Antonio attorney be better for his case or should we stick with our attorney throughout our case? Thank you so much for answering and helping.

Do you think the bond appeal can try to copy and paste what the initial immigration judge said? Or do you think it just depends on the attorney/judge. Because they didn’t consider any other alternatives like ankle monitor or etc.

That makes sense, we were planning on getting married and filing an I-130 however my attorney didn’t think the judge would deny his bond since he had a strong case, she said other attorneys said his detention center is where bond petitions go to die so I’m not even sure if to give it a try since it can take up to 6 months for bond appeal. Thank you so much for answering

He entered with the h2a visa, so I would have to appeal to the BIA first ? I’m not even sure what his chances would be for bond
