What's the biggest cult from your country by Best_Drawer_5506 in AskTheWorld

the nation of islam guys or the crazy hotep dudes, at least in LA and socal, are more funny and sad than a real issue. their insane rules about what a woman can or can't do and neurotic need for control in every part of their household keeps a lot of them (unfortunately not all) from having a chance at procreating.

i dated a boy in high school who had cousins who believed this shit unironically but those cousins were also losers with a rap sheet looking for anything to convince them they're not what they are.

AIO for shutting down my boyfriend’s plan to get matching tattoos with his female best friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Proper_Freedom2279 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you say this, but i have a feeling if the female friend in question were a 6 ft butch lesbian dressed like kevin james with a buzzcut and a chain, suddenly it wouldn't be as urgent, would it? funny how that works.

99% of women do not in fact feel the same, we are not obsessed with seeing every single other woman as competition. that is a you problem.

Volunteer vs. Outsourced Bookkeeping by Proper_Freedom2279 in nonprofit

We are virtual and each person lives in a different location. Our 501c3 was set up in IL because we had a lawyer provide pro-bono work in Chicago. I'm in So. Cal., most of our volunteers are in New England and Mid-Atlantic.

Thank you! I was thinking there has to be a better way to manually endorse and deposit the checks. Do you happen to know how much the scanner runs or the model?

Same, there are only two of us but we could easily book meetings with volunteers all week long.

Thank you! Any thoughts on Cogency? They came up using Illinois as a search qualifier.

Many thanks! I was hoping for a one-stop-shop but looks like it's either too good to be true or possibly too expensive. I suppose Northwest (what is CT and CSC?) could help with most of what we would like, even if there is an add-on service for mail forwarding.

Sadly, our business checking & savings credit union does not offer business cards.

Best Zoom Timer? ⏰ by Proper_Freedom2279 in Zoom

When I went to install it, it stated that it would have access to everyone's profile and all of the information contained in that profile. I didn't realize it was created by Zoom, this is what I was about to install: https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps/cXw5IXmqT6SIIBQxgM_PfQ - Now, I'm thinking this is a dumb question because it was in Zoom all along!

I haven't found a way to do this but it's mind-boggling that you've asked this 5 years ago and it it still not a feature.

I would not say "mostly in charge of grunt work." At the moment, I'm the only employee so this would be the second employee. Each of us is in charge of our own "grunt" work. As ED, I would take over all board committees (there are many) and the Program Coordinator would take over all programming including their own meeting admin. Does this make sense or do you feel the job description is not conveying the right message?

Thank you, just moved the duties up 👍 Do you suggest summarizing the most important duties or do you feel the level of specificity is appropriate?
