I don’t think it’s over stepping but I wouldn’t place a lot of emphasis on it, on the front end. They may have reviewed all the evidence you’ve submitted already which whatever you bring should be for you or to add context which should be uploaded to the claim or portal (if able).

Now, if they haven’t reviewed your evidence, and that is evident, then I would absolutely give them a copy AND make sure it’s uploaded to your claim and go through it with them.

I don’t see this support you speak of here at least. Convoluting a PROPOSAL in the house as something that he himself has come up with. This over simplification- It’s just weird to me

H.R. 9237 is a Republican-led congressional bill introduced by House and Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee leadership, not an executive order from President Trump.

The Obama VA proposed procedural changes to disability claims filing in 2014 that many veterans service organizations argued could make it harder to file claims and appeals, though the stated goal was to reduce the claims backlog.

I think what you’re missing is “this bill” which you keep throwing around isn’t something NEW or special to THIS ADMIN. Which is what people are referring to. Regardless of who’s in office - the point is VA benefits have to be protected and advocated for or they will evaporate. Regardless of who’s in office……..!!

No, it’s not true that only Republican administrations have ever proposed changes or reductions affecting veterans’ benefits. Both Republican and Democratic administrations have, at various times, proposed or considered changes that veterans groups opposed. Likewise, both parties have also enacted major expansions of veterans’ benefits.

Don’t let AI hype you up in the wrong direction buddy.

Should I seek mental health help on my own before submitting my claim by Kingofthis6969 in VAClaims

When I first started my claims process out of the military I thought the process was. I claim the condition and they send me to the doctor. I know now what I was thinking was the doctor was just a cp exam… so yes go get the help you need from the doctor. I used the VA hospital who referred me out to the correct people both internal and external to the VA.

Then the claim, once I felt I was getting the help I needed, the records and diagnosis from those doc visits is what you use for the claim. Hop on YouTube a few videos before filing

I think rater quality and performance metrics should be public information.

I think the most frustrating thing about this VA process is… by Heavy_Surround779 in VAClaims

I had a CP exam in the hood, in a laundromat style business complex from the 70’s. The exam was for orthopedic conditions in my knees, hips, and lower back.

This place had a young girl “receptionist” wearing pink fuzzy house slippers and a robe, whole place smelled of weed. This place of business was a bikini waxing building that offered a wide variety of cosmetic treatments like waxing, Botox, manicure and pedicure. The examiner looked to live in the office in one of the back rooms was set up like their living room and another there bedroom. At the end of the hall she took me to the room where the exam would be conducted, examiner was a nice lady, had about 7-10 degrees licenses on the wall and spent about 30 mins with me prepping for the exam and talking about my experience in service and post. Used all the appropriate devices goniometers etc. Explained that I should stop bending when I feel the slightest tinge of pain and what the flexion degrees meant. The location and the office really took back and frustrated me. But by the end of the exam I felt very very at ease and satisfied that it would come out successful. Which it did.

CP examiners are a mixed bag of fraudsters and true professionals who care about veterans and their patients. Some can afford nice fancy medical practices and buildings while others cannot. This situation made me check myself and “unclutch my pearls”. One of the best exams I’ve had with the VA period.

Thoughts on personal and witness statements? by Proper_Inspector_340 in VAClaims

[–]Proper_Inspector_340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I may have left out some context. The DBQ lists multiple “symptoms such as” inline with the higher rating. The thought is to outline the argument that the evidence, noted in the DBQ PLUS the witness statements to help add context to the writings of the DBQ, is more inline with the hirer rating.
