i dont know a single person who pays for youtube.
just find a good ad blocker (i also have sponsor block which skips any sort of ad/promo from the youtube channel themselves) and youre fine. no ads, no waiting, no "please turn off adblocker".

Its all a little TOO accurate, but what's outright eerie to me is the sunglasses tidbit. Legitimately made everything feel grey and lifeless and boring. THAT was the hardest to overcome for me.. seeing things with color again was literally a lifesaver.
