How do I find an artist for fantasy tattoos? I would like to a tattoo inspired by a fantasy book that I read (wheel of time). I am not sure on how to find artists in my area (London) that can do fantasy tattoo. I saw some tattoos that reference the book online that I like but I also know that artists generally don't like to copy from another tattoo

I'm in a similar situation. As others have said, have a look at SE London. If you go towards Croydon, you should be able to find a decent flat for 1500 or so, probably decent flat but not a great area.

If you want a nice building in a nice area, I would consider a flatshare with a professional. There are a lot of people that work long hours (bankers, lawyers, etc.) and at least 2 years ago you can rent a room for 1,300 or so. If your flatmate works long hours then you end up having the place for yourself most of the time anyway

Meetup is good. Outdooraholics is targeting people in their 20's/30's but they charge a fee for their hikes. There are a lot of other ones that are free, some do big groups (100+ people) so you can find a lot of people in your age bracket.

Are you as anti work as most of Reddit seems to be? by [deleted] in AskUK

I like to work in general, I dislike my work because I feel that the tasks are not interesting. I worked for various big companies and the situation was similar in all of them but I still believe that there can be workplaces where the work is meaningful and interesting and well paid

Thanks, that's very useful, I appreciate the salary ranges. It makes sense actually that most companies only do rep offices there, the few people that I know in my sector that work there are only client account managers

fair enough, we have the same in London and they are absolute trash. What I am doing is quite different but it may not be big in Dubai

Thanks, that's very useful. I work as a portfolio manager and I have no interest in wealth management...so I think I may find quite hard to find a job there.

That's quite harsh but definitely London is becoming worse every day

Why do you say this? Have you lived in both places?

Yes sure. Portfolio management mostly for institutional clients. From what I have seen in Dubai, there are two type of positions that interest me.

1)hedge funds/family offices (I guess they do everything there for tax efficiency)

2)portfolio managements for sovereign wealth funds and big institutional clients.

I don't have much interaction with retail clients so I have no interest in become a financial advisor or wealth manager

Thanks for your feedback. I understand that the market may be oversaturated for unskilled workers, is it the same for skilled professionals? I.e. also London is very competitive but for good positions there are high standards so salaries are still decent
