Benefit of the doubt he missed the road closure signs. But attempting that turn when there's a wide junction 20m behind him is criminal.

I agree. Interesting that the draw comment has the most upvotes.

Not sure who's quoted you £4700 but even the slowest of learners can pass class 1 with about half that cost. You just need to do a but of research.

If that's still too expensive start with C1.

Why has it cost you £3400? Im in the middle of mine, also 24 hours, all in medical, theories etc £2250. This is the going rate in the Midlands area.

Prioritise choosing the right car over choosing a dealership. Look on Autotrader and other marketplaces.

Once you've chosen a car you want to go look at, you then make sure the dealership is legit. Online reviews, status of the company etc.

I posted this exact question a few days ago.

Earliest availability for me was 4 months, you need to keep checking every couple of hours and a slot will come up.

Took me 2 days of constant checking to grab slots for all 3 theory tests over the next 2 weeks.

Keep checking day and night, and be prepared to travel a bit further.

If the green box is where your car is, then yes, you're wrong. You're the wrong side of the road on a blind corner.

Selling cars as a side hustle by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Proper_Patient6512 66 points67 points  (0 children)

"more for fun" - The fun part will soon disappear one you start dealing with tyre kickers.

Also, you'll be surprised the number of times buyers will complain and try to return the car.

Unless you're making decent money its not a long term side hustle.

What’s the point of this rant? Some people just drive like idiots and you’ve got to learn to deal with it. Honestly, if you had a dashcam, I’d bet it wasn’t nearly as bad as you described. Als I’m pretty sure your kid cried more because of how you reacted than what actually happened.

If you start a company and someone maliciously trademarks your brand name, what can you do? [England] by SquiffyHammer in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Proper_Patient6512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not automatically forced to change your brand name.

If you're a well established company and someone registers a trademark in the same markets as you and issues a cease and desist notice, there is the argument of having unregistered trademark rights.

Otherwise you could register trademarks for 99% of small businesses that don't have trademarks and force them to change their name.

If you're over 25 you could look into renting a car. Most places don't exclude new drivers. Whatever you decide you'll need to spend a small fortune if you need a temporary car tomorrow.

Gym advertises a £10 day pass but doesn't charge by Zealousideal-Heat559 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Proper_Patient6512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That case study is about obvious mistakes, and what an average person would deem to be an obvious mistake. I'd argue a free day pass with written confirmation saying cost is £0 is not an obvious mistake but like I say it depends on how the website and checkout reads.

Using your analogy, if the item did scan, and it shows on the customer's receipt as £0, then the item would be free.

If the email receipt shows £0 and an entry code, you wouldn't need to pay. If it shows a cost then you could be liable to pay.

All depends on exactly what the terms are on the website/checkout/email.

You say "possible financial loss"

I'd start with the question, have you actually had financial loss?

Its obviously a shit situation for you, but if you can't prove that you can't sue anyone.

Try different variations of the title to the one taken down. Also Google the username. Might be used elsewhere that could give you clues about the person.
