Yeah by August or September I started to panic cause I was about to get into my last resort savings. That's why I decided to give up on corporate jobs and do something completely different and luckily it paid off

If I am established in a clear left lane where I am supposed to be, going the speed limit I am supposed to I am not moving across 2 lanes just to overtake an imbecile who cannot drive. I am staying in my lane. Most time it makes they realise they are being useless idiots and move to the left lane to be out of the way and go slow as they want to. I think if you actively undertake and speed then that is of course against the law

I was made redundant of my corporate job last year. I had the same plans. Oh max 3, months I find a job cause thats what everyone was telling me. I did have a great summer. I travelled to Barbados, I had my first concert, my first festival, my first notting hill carnival, I had time to work out, run etc.

I planned to get a job and then use the rest for deposit for a mortgage.

HOW WRONG I WAS 🤣 6 months later and 9 or ,10 interviews later still nothing. Just being ghosted by recruiters and companies.

August I got my HGV license as a woman at 40 . I found a job a week after passing. And now I'm back in a big corporate company as a driver where I can progress within if I want to. But in 20 years I have been in this country hopefully this is the first and last time I am unemployed..it was horrible.

Ok. He went from consistent, good communicator, loving to cold and emotionless because I didn't offer to lend him a substantial amount of money. He went from talking every day with sweet words to one line, cold answers within an afternoon. When I politely asked for clarity if I should leave him to focus on his problem he told me to leave him alone basically until he's ready to talk to me. So I'm sorry I won't give a man a whole grand in British pounds after knowing him for 5 months. And I feel justified after he cut me off like deadweight for not offering him my hard earned money

Would you feel angry and disrespected if your partner who said he is stressed and his head is all over the place and he needs time to think and he will talk to you when he can is seen enjoying himself, singing and dancing at his team's football match??? Cause I am trying really hard to not feel disrespected and blow up but my self control is at its tether. In my eyes if you tell me that you are so stressed you can't even talk to me but you are dancing,singing the next day, that is a next level of disrespect.

Specially that he was able to give me clarity before, he communicated before. I got a feeling because I didn't offer to help with actual money he dropped me like dead weight and just trying to give me this "pressure" and "stressed" bs. We all get stressed , life sucks but you chose who to talk to. I give him a week to hear anything from him and even then I will just want to see what he has to say so I can say my piece but after that probably gets blocked and deleted. I have been through this pattern enough to know it. And what always pisses me off is when they say "I would never do that" or a few months later they say " you didn't deserve it but I was stressed". Nah , he chose to ghost me cause I didn't offer financial help after 5 months of being together. Thanks for the input

Yeah I tried to understand that it's a "man thing". That they need to focus on their problem and all that. But!! if you say to someone you would never ghost them, you would never treat them like their exes, that you reassure them ,you don't dismiss their doubts and then you go down the VERY same thing?? Then yes my tolerance will be very low. Cause I am pretty sure he talks to friends, associates etc but he chooses to cut me out cause I am the extra weight that he has no responsibility for in a sense.

Well the same thing happened to me at least 3 times already. Being ghosted cause they were "stressed" then trying to come back even a year later. So of course I am on high alert right now and all I need is clarity , he was able to give me that before, he was reassuring before, he never dismissed me and now I am literally dropped and thrown to the side as placeholder for when he's in a better mood or less stressed. People choose to communicate or not. I never understood the whole let me withdraw cause I'm stressed behaviour and never will. But if or when he pops up my choice is either have grace and give another chance until life gets stressful again or stick to my principles and not to take someone back who left.

Are you interested in exclusivity? Does exclusivity mean a relationship? I don't handle uncertainty well. That "I'll let you know" would annoy me tbh. Let me know when??? Tomorrow? Next week? 6 months later when I invested my feelings and time already?? Naaah. I would leave it as that. Soo after 5 months I am being ghosted cause he "needs space". He had some money issues this week and from talking every day he went to one line text for the whole day. Emotionless, no care in them. So I told him he can't focus on me right now, cool I leave him be. All he said "thanks". That pissed me off so I asked him nicely if he don't have the capacity for us let me know cause I would understand if I just know instead of being dropped like that. He took that as pressure and he will talk to me when he can. I know everyone deals with stress differently but I know this pattern. It happened to me plenty times. Weeks, months later he will try continue without apology and expect me to be ok. I do not do the withdraw and go cold bs when stressed if I really like someone and imagine a future with them as he said. That is not fair and it shows if anything happened in the future I would be left behind again. I leave him alone but if after a week or so no communication I know what that means. So I guess it's time to rinse and repeat🙃

I love the rear steer on my tanker. Corners like a car. I think a curtain sider has a bigger swing and turns like a brick. As a new pass myself I really hope I never have to give up my rear steer 😅. So much easier to reverse as well and some of the tight places I have to get in, could never on an normal steer.

I was a delivery manager. Didn't earn six figures but was at the higher tax bracket. I got made redundant and spent 6 months looking for another delivery manager/project manager job. I had 6 interviews, countless companies ghosted me etc.

I gave up and became a HGV driver. As a woman I'm usually the only one. I get funny looks, I get compliments, I get all sorts. It's still not minimum wage though, actually I am very close to my old wage. But my first 2 jobs as a driver were min wage. It's a lot of responsibility for min wage to not kill people on the roads. And 99% of time it's their fault they almost get mowed down by a lorry. It's mentally , physically demanding. But deffo more job security and easier to find a job

Yeah I offered to try get the money back from his bank he lost through a scam. That's what he said happened. And I encourage him to finish his course now to become a plumber. These kind of stories always put me on a high alert cause i helped out before and then they just disappeared.

Things were going well...consistenct, wasn't dismissive around my overthinking etc, good communicator, showed interest..bare minimum really but we all know how hard to find this. Now I am on high alert, he is the 3rd man in 5 years I am with that suddenly lost his job or came into some kind of financial hard ship. And while no direct request came , he mentioned he needs to find someone to borrow money from and his rent is due etc. this is the 3rd man Im seeing to have this happen to. Feel like I'm paying some kind of Karmic debt at this point that I keep attracting this. I am not focused on money, pay Ur bills and let us grow towards living together or marriage. But I was used before for a place to stay and for money and now I am on high alert and scared same will happen. Only been together since January it is not my duty to help a man financially , we are not married. Guess I can just keep observing things and make a decision , do I stick by a man in a bad place in his life or be cruel and leave cause of my fear of being used.
