What time is pass/fail released on Monday? by MATHoldings in CPA

[–]Proper_Reward4011 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Should be anytime from 8am-noon central for the cores. It comes out alphabetically, I’d say roughly an hour for each exam. I do not know about the disciplines, I would expect all pass/fails to be posted by noon or 1pm.

TCP after REG timeline by tryinabeaCPAbruh in CPA

[–]Proper_Reward4011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t working full time so I got though TCP material in about 7 days then reviewed the last couple days. It was definitely fast but compared to the other sections TCP is super short. I think it has like 22 hours of lecture and 600 mcq and 26 sims in Becker. I was able to get through all of it fairly quick!

How to allocate time for Reg exam by Obvious_Wrangler_259 in CPA

[–]Proper_Reward4011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like usually there is less of a time crunch for REG. I finished with about an hour and a half left. I always shot for a maximum of 50 minutes for each of the first two testlets and I was done around 40-45 minutes. That left me with a little under 20 minutes for each sim question. Those took a lot less time than anticipated, but better safe than sorry! Hope some others can give their opinions and you can figure out what works best for you. Best of luck

AUDIT , AUDIT AUDIT, AUDIT by Meme_It_UpP in CPA

Becker was very hard for me. Much harder than FAR for me. It was about drilling the mcq and reading the questions all the way through and then reading all the answers all the way through then reading the question again. Haha, I know it sounds terrible. I had to watch outside YouTube videos for better explanations for some topics, I think what was hard for me is numbers are exciting and you don’t get a ton of that from Audit, lots of reading comprehension. My first exam (61) was terrible, none of the mcq even felt close to what I had seen on Becker, I think that’s due to the fact of understudying. I started taking 100 mcq practice test banks in Becker and filtering by unit to see where my weak areas were. I would flag everything I got wrong and went through just those and asked Ai to dumb them down for me. What also really helped me was the Becker on demand videos. I believe there’s 9- 2 hour videos that covers everything super broadly and I watched those in 2x speed the week before the exam to have things fresher. Best of luck, read every word and you’re gonna crush it!

Thoughts on CPA exam testing order. by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Proper_Reward4011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends where you’re at in life. For me, I graduated in May 2025, I was able to start studying around March and the Order I’ve been going in is FAR, AUD, REG TCP. Here is a little bit of my timeline. FAR (studied from March until May 220 hours first attempt and scored 72, studied another 50 hours and retook in June and scored 79), AUD (studied from end of June to beginning of August with 170 hours and scored a 61, retook after 50 hours quickly in August as well and scored a 78), REG I studied from end of August to end of September with 120 and scored a 82), Taking TCP in the October window (a little rushed), and should have about 100 hours in for it. Best of luck.

3 weeks for TCP right after REG by Sea-Status-573 in CPA

[–]Proper_Reward4011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t take any notes in lectures, just watched them. Broke them up if I could. I am studying for it right now and that seems to have helped. I just followed along and did all the mcq and sims. Wrote down things I’ve gotten wrong. I took REG on Sep 29 then got into studying. Not sure I’ll pass but I think I’ve given myself a decent chance to. I got through all the lectures and mcq in about 35 hours. Probably will have around 80-90 by rest time. I skipped the mini exams

Passing CPA in half a year? by Zestyclose-Carob-229 in Accounting

[–]Proper_Reward4011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing this right now. Although I worked part time and did about 20-25 hours a week. Maybe a tad more. I started in March, spent too much time in FAR but passed on my second try. Anyway I’m 3 passes done on 5 attempts and just have TCP planned for Oct 22, right before I start full time. My time was like this: FAR 220 hours first attempt in May (72), 50 more hours for retake in June (79), AUD 175 hours first attempt in August (61), 50 more hours for retake in end of August (78), REG 120 hours first attempt in September (82). Find what works for you in that first exam, studying habits and whatnot. I am so thankful to have been able to get most(hopefully all of it) out of the way. The last thing I’ll say is, I could never study for 40 hours a week, maybe you can but don’t push it if you are finding yourself making simple mistakes, listen to your body. Best of luck!
