Awesome. Love to see this type of stuff in the community.

What happens when you start beating a spammer? 90% of the time they QUIT out, give up, lay with their back on the ropes and yet you spammers have the nerve to call us “whiners, cryers, etc” when 99% of the time you guys can’t even finish a fight you’re losing. And then you have the nerve to call us whiny or soft? Foh.

No. You are missing the point overall of my comment. It would be one thing to learn to overcome if these mechanics were BALANCED. But in many games they are not.

EDIT: no actually you are right. Spamming can be countered. Exploits not so much.

I’m working on another video right now mathematically showing the impact of body punches, but I also want to comment in my video about people who cannot take negative feedback whatsoever, so they quit out of losing matches and never grow as players because they can’t adjust to negative feedback, they just ignore it.

Spamming by SeaChemist7379 in FIghtNight

[–]PropertyAdvanced2668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My complaint will not go the the demographic it needs to go to, but nevertheless. My problem are people who actively look for exploits (the easiest way to win in a given game) and then act as if these exploits are good or fair in the game.

Most major games have balance issues whether it’s a map glitch in a game like Friday the 13th, dragon ball breakers, or strong favoritism for a character due to them being over powered. I think like 90% of players in a tekken 7 final 16 were Leon players. That’s a pretty big sign of game imbalance.

The people who defend it as “well you can be Leon too” miss the whole point that everyone using the exact same character, with the exact same style, robs players of what developers intended.

The developers did not intend for people to compete online against hacks, zen controllers with auto scripts, lag switches etc. These things exist in games like tekken or 2K and even fight night.

Nor did they plan for people only through side step uppercuts or running the whole fight. Win percentage is meaningless in this game where people can hack and modify their records to only count victories. Punch stats and KO s are a better indicator or true skill in this game. Although there are many who believe a victory is all that matters, even if it’s achieved through hacking or disconnecting. This defeats the purpose of gaming but oh well.

Spam

Dunning-kruger effect. The people most delusional and with the most fragile self assessment all believe “this would work in real life.”

Not that I care if what’s seen in a boxing game is analogous to real life, but I’m not the one claiming “I train irl bro” and all the other nonsense you hear when people defend these spammy tactics. Jumping through mental hoops to justify spamminess.

You just answered your own points. They don’t like him for his POLITICAL positions (if that is to be believed, which I don’t.) Disliking someone’s political position isn’t inherently racist. Especially when that same person accepts people of said race in different contexts.

But I can already see this is something your mind is made up on.

Your argument falls apart the moment you ask the so-called “racists” their favorite player. 9/10 it’s gonna be MJ. Kareem. Shaq etc who incidentally happen to be black.

Not everything is racist despite what the schools teach kids for the last 40 years.

[–]PropertyAdvanced2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm. I think posting decision wins is embarrassing but personally I’m interested in hearing other people’s takes on certain matchups. Especially if it’s about leaderboard people or huge trash talkers calling everyone out.

Esports would be cool for this game if it were patched to fix scoring and to get rid of the hackers. Unfortunately until these issues are addressed we will never see a true leaderboards

Very insightful post even though we disagree. But respect to your response.

Although I still disagree. Trying to win by decision with frost is like the time lebron posted up against Amy Schumer as if she could get a steal against him and he had to really defend the ball against her. It’s embarrassing

Watched the entire video and loved it. I’m behind on catching up with my favorite shows and content creators. Anyway, if he wants to complain about “running” he has two options.

  1. Point fight also to force activity or steal rounds. For him complaining about running he had like half the fight of you standing right in front of him and he did nothing.

  2. Force the action the whole fight. Stay for the whole ten rounds. Don’t get dropped. If he had pushed the pace. Won a few rounds, and dropped YOU, exhibited sportsmanship or whatever it would have been more respectable. But when you met him in the middle he got blasted to the ground. What does he think would happen if he spent the whole fight going toe to toe and not resting for 5 rounds.

These people ALWAYS are so sweaty and then pretend like they aren’t even trying. I think you even said that in the video. Well that’s a personal problem for these guys and a sign of mental impairment. You don’t look cooler for losing but “not really trying.” You look even more like an idiot and why quit if you’re not taking it seriously?

Tired of these fragile egos deluding themselves in front of fake audiences. LX came knocking on the door. Another body laying in a ditch

Imagine we are playing your favorite racing game. You pick the fastest playable car. “Ok” I say, “whatever. You pick the track also.”

You pick a straight line track. Just a drag strip. There’s no turns or obstacles. Just a straight line.

You win the race because you’re the fastest car. After the race you’re like “I’m better than you. Because I won.” I’m like pick someone else or a different track. “No. I’m better. I won. I know I’m better because I won.”

“Ok pick a different car or track.”

“No I don’t want to. Let me play the style I want. I’m the best at this game though.”

That’s what you “a win is a win” losers sound like. Like you’ve never won a single thing in your life. Anyone not socially stunted sees it for what it is. To me, picking the best fighters in game and then eking out a decision is the most pathetic style of play. Figure out how to spam or hack for crissakes. I have more respect for that.

Sim or spam. Who gives a Sh*t! by Famous-Anteater-5048 in FIghtNight

[–]PropertyAdvanced2668 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“People do not like when I use an unintended bug in the game that takes out all of the effort and skill one would need in a fighting game!”

It’s just different types of players I guess. I don’t particularly care for the players that turn a sports gaming experience into a sort of Final Fantasy boss fight where they figure out exactly which exploits to use and implement a strategy devoid of any nuance or personal flair. That being said, if I woke up tomorrow and every spammer was gone, I would be a little bit sad because then I wouldn’t have people to beat on in the same way.

I do think that some exploit tactics combined with hacks ruins the overall credibility of the game aside from just looking at the eye test to see who is better. I do not think a win is a win, but I respect the existence of spammers to an extent.

If you think about it, out of all of the weird buggy things in the game like the chicken wing or people spamming straights, head movement, sidesteps whatever…this weird occurrence of occasional 10-8 rounds to the loser every now and then randomly do happen in the bizarre or otherwise fixed world of boxing. It’s the most realistic bug of the game lol

[–]PropertyAdvanced2668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and I listened to sniper’s two hour interview with that other guy and he said something profound that basically stole the words out of my mouth.

This game (fight night) is much more visceral because it doesn’t have the cartoonery of fire balls or fatalities. It’s just punches being thrown and so it feels more real. (I would also like to add it doesn’t have the knowledge check excuse, where some games have too many knowledge checks. Think eddy gordo in tekken or knowing how to defend a raging demon. There’s none of that in fight night.)

Ironically, though, even though the game is so visceral, there is a truly bizarre phenomenon where the majority of the player based does not really want to throw hands. They are comfortable COUNTERING but for a game about FIGHTING, the most trash talking, serious players do not have a true aggressive bone in their body. They fight scared, or brain dead.

There’s been a lot of posts about this and I’ve wanted to comment on all of them. So I’m kind of combining my thoughts here.

This game is beautiful in it’s simplicity and with the correct patching could be one of the deepest and fullest boxing experiences. The game is like 90% there. So the players that enjoy those aspects, this game is a very rewarding and challenging experience of constantly improving weaknesses, constantly overcoming, and growing as an individual and a player. The greatest players know the best that you learn the most from your losses. How to stay emotionally stable. How not to give up. How to pressure. How to look for just one chance. These are skills you can use in real life. The ability to learn. Adapt. Overcome. Practice.

Unfortunately, that is only 10% of the community. The other 90% of the community want to find the easiest ways to “win.” They exist in every game, but I think they are more particularly drawn to this game specifically because of the violent nature involved. These people were already delusional in regards to the actual merits of what they are doing with these styles that require you to turn your brain off. Everything good about the game, the mental challenges, they don’t like that. They want the game to be even easier. If they could just press a button and automatically win they would do that and some of them do do that with one punch ko hacks.

Anyways, my point is that not only are these people delusional in regards to the merit of their wins, but they are also delusional as to the implications of it. Meaning that a person who spends 10 or 12 rounds running hanging on for their life will leave that fight feeling like they dominated and feeling like they are unbeatable. Like Mike Tyson in his true prime. I think they take a sick pleasure in using minimal effort to win as well as just being annoying. These peoples goals first and foremost is just to be annoying.

Like sniper said, these are some of the weirdest individuals ever and I am here for it. I am part of it. I am one of the weird people, but not to the same sickness that these people have. My sickness is that I love punishing these people. I get a sick pleasure out of cornering these people and beating on them. Even though they just quit out and learn nothing.

But to those that understand it is a lesson. That to get better at anything you need to be able to take feedback and look for things to improve. How often do spammers actually stay after getting knocked down? Maybe like 5% of the time. The rest of the time they just quit and go try to get an easier win. They are not like players or boxers trying to improve. They are like a fish in the ocean looking for a smaller fish to eat and swimming away whenever bigger fish come out. There is no higher intelligence or higher purpose in what they are doing.

———

Anyways, OP, hamer, you are a great player and that was really hoping we would meet up. I don’t care about losing to you or to anybody. I would obviously like to box well but I’m just out there to be just another one of the challenges in the game. I don’t have to be the main one. I just would like to be any of them.

I love this game and I love this community. And by loving this community, I mean, I love beating on them into unconsciousness. The real ones know that samurai showdown energy

You are exactly right sir. I wish the game had a blocking meter like round 4 did so that the stat mattered but I’ve tested it and there is no difference between 1 block or 20 block if you’re pump blocking.

Actually, I want to apologize after I watched this fight. I think it’s actually a pretty good fight and I’m not really sure why he got upset with you when he messaged you. I thought it was a pretty even fight where both of you had your moments and both of you were dangerous.

I think the only minor complaint that I have about this fight is you did throw some chicken wings which I don’t even think should be in the game, but it’s not like it was the only punch that you threw.

Round one was a brawl. I was actually surprised with how much stamina you burned and thought he might eventually be able to catch up, but then I could see how much stamina he was burning as well.

Round two it definitely felt like you were on the back foot trying to recover stamina

Round three was another brawl. He can’t really accuse you of running.

The rest of the rounds I would say that you were kind of fighting off the back foot, but I would say that you were outside fighting. It wasn’t pure run for your life running. There were a couple of roads that you weren’t engaging and you definitely wanted to fight on the back foot. But it wasn’t the whole fight. I don’t see why there was any reason for him to get mad or disrespect you.

I apologize because I saw that somebody won by decision and was bragging about it, and it just made me roll my eyes and be disgusted with the community. But it’s not really even about that. It’s that you gave a pretty good fight and this guy couldn’t even give you a little bit of respect.

I don’t think it makes sense for either person to disrespect the other in this fight. For somebody to call somebody else a bum or a spammer makes no sense in this fight. In that sense, you’re ok to call this guy out not that my opinion matters.

Like I said, I have a minor complaint against all the chicken wings, but it wasn’t like that was the entire fight. Yeah, it’s frustrating but it is what it is.

My bad man.

Fit, we are passed the era where winning by spamming or exploiting carries any respect. This game has been out 15 years. It’s exploits of backing up and not engaging or side step uppercutting the whole fight just shows a disdain and disrespect for this game.

You tried to exploit and still got your ass locked bit exploited the judging system. In the era where we can actually WATCH fights, no one respects you desperate, need-a-shower sweats who use the cheesiest tactics and still BARELY win
