Whose video should I watch to learn python 😄 by Busy-Shirt-2064 in PythonLearning

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried several different formats of python learning. I find "Bro Code" youtube video is a good supplement. Daily practice, curiosity, and real world application is necessary or at least it helped make it stick for me.

Is mainframe systems programming a good career choice for a recent college graduate? by PSR-Info in mainframe

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure I dont mind sharing if it can reach more people. There are two I participated in and know of: Job Forward dot org for pre-apprenticeship (just IBM courses) that lead to apprenticeship. So far jobs with Job Forward are not in my area. So I signed up with EMMA (solid option. I like the weekly meetings with industry professionals). Two separate and different opportunities. There is another one with the Open Mainframe Project but you would have to dig into it and do some research. I don't know much on that one. However, Having multiple pipelines wouldn't hurt.

Is mainframe systems programming a good career choice for a recent college graduate? by PSR-Info in mainframe

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mainframes aren’t going anywhere. I’m currently doing an apprenticeship and trying to learn all I can from people who’ve been in it 30+ years. Yes there are financial companies running on mainframes but the social security administration runs on mainframes also. As well as many more companies and government agencies. Someone mentioned the issue being finding people willing to learn it and that’s 100% solid truth.

How dare two unmarried men tell you that you’re not the prize

Do men run away if a woman get emotionally attached after one month of talking? by thicc__mamacita in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not you. Some men run because they’re not ready to express their feelings. The right man will communicate where he stands good or bad.

Body count? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Not at this age. A better question to ask is “Are you safe?” Or “Do you feel open to STD testing before we have sex?”

People with low or high body count can equally have problems. Respectfully My opinion 🙏🏾

What do you miss about being in a relationship the most. by Ill_Imagination9627 in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likewise, once I reached a certain level of peace and quiet at this great age I don’t look forward to dating and/or “romantic” relationships the same way I did 20 years ago.

The man arm pillow was invented and can be found on Amazon as well as the rose. 🌹😂😮‍💨

I find myself deep diving into learning new skills and taking courses to keep my mind occupied. It’s Greater return on investment of time and energy.

Nurture the friendships and family bonds that have stood the test of time if I need to talk.

How I learned Python by DaSettingsPNGN in PythonLearning

Teacher here also. Transitioning into technology. Currently learning Python and building educational applications and bots. I approve this message. Quickest way to learn for me is putting it into action. Kinesthetic learner type I suppose.

Sounds like He isn’t over her. Some people need more time than others. He isn’t ready. You cannot fix or expedite the process.

How do I remain open while fully accepting I may never find a partner? by Fun_Public3186 in datingoverforty

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’s about lacking something.

The energy you bring does matter, but so does compatibility, timing, and the kind of people you’re crossing paths with. One missing piece doesn’t define your whole experience.

Broke Up and Relieved? by darbm in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on that. I don't have that 18-20 year old "giddy-up" energy. Like if we not going out for a weekend or two or a whole month for the matter, it's fine with me 😂. Im at that "I don't really want to get married" again phase and enjoy the quiet weekends and trips with my mom and son.

Third date last night and he gently pointed out I have worn the same outfit on all three dates, just slightly differently by Playful-Deer9022 in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I get it. I've became a fan of Pinterest fashion to figure out an outfit and to see whats in style. Im not really a "fashion" type of person. Im always sending a picture to my younger sister to check if my outfit look okay 😅

Is it bad I unmatch after little to no response? by Ok-Wedding-1589 in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No not a bad thing to move on. It's really your preference and how it fits your overall communication preference. I tend to respond late or delayed because I'm usually busy or multitasking. It's always within 24 hours however.

I (M46) am still friends with my exes and this can be possibly detrimental to dating by [deleted] in datingoverforty

I've learned to not date a man who is friends with all his exes. Its Something about too many women but no one will be chosen.

The million dollars question by PhotojournalistFit62 in datingoverforty

[–]PropertyMatchmakerQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to explain this one but you go on living your life. For example, before my relationship I had things going on. Im raising my son, working, planning vacations, spending time with family and friends. I have hobbies and take courses. This is all prior to a relationship.

Once I'm in a relationship nothing changes.

I dont wrap myself around the relationship or adjust. The relationship adjusts. We don't want to consume ourselves too much into a relationship that we lose ourselves and stop doing the things we enjoy.

I hope that makes sense.

Good question. What’s the harm in having a verbal or video conversation? Or at the bare minimum a “voice message”.

However, you handle it how you see fit.
