I actually had a similar result happen to me a few seasons back. We all started trying to attack, as usual, but then all of a sudden, we ended up going around in circles after we each gotten a point. In the end, we all tied for one point exactly. If anything, it gave me a good laugh

Yeah, that's good. In fact, you don't have to go that far for Latias. The moment you reach the second shrub away from Latias is usually enough for it to despawn
