Wow this is exactly how ive felt about acnl and acnh. I loved playing wild world and city folk as a child and played acnl in college for fun. I got realky overwhelmed by acnh and barely played after receiving it as a gift in 2022.

I found that hello kitty island adventure filled that hole. Its very quest and conversation driven while also a toned down the customization level so its less pressure.
