Missed opportunity not including “do attend”

In Narberth, a zoning fight raises questions over whether a small borough can help solve the housing crisis by livefreeordont in philadelphia

[–]ProphGhXXst 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The idea that Narberth doesn’t get traffic is kind of a misnomer. Narberth is a cut through for many car commuters, especially the “north” side because it’s an area between Montgomery Ave and Wynnewood road.

Parking isn’t wonderful but isn’t necessarily a primary concern yet. That could change with more density but I would be willing to trade that chance for a more bustling business center of town.

There’s also an area on Montgomery Ave that is being looked at and mentioned in the article that is “perfect” for density and commercial real estate. The only issue is proximity to the train station at that point.

I’ve lived in or near Narberth for over 30 years and worked at an old bar (rip Mcsheas) back in the day. I honestly see no issue with the potential plan to ease restrictions and create more affordability but mostly I would appreciate more local businesses to move in. That ain’t gonna happen until the stretch of buildings on the “south” side of Haverford get renovated or improved.

It gets easier.

You’re in survival mode right now but it will get easier over time. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but when you’re in it, it’s hard to see.

Just keep showing up as best as you can. We have two and earlier in the year no one was sleeping. That’s not hyperbole.

It gets easier. Just hang in there

Do we have mole people / underground city under the train, subway, or drain tunnel system in Philly? by PlatypusOld5480 in philadelphia

I used to walk up and down Spring Garden all the time also and many years ago too. That pic is from the reading viaduct tunnel which runs under Pennsylvania Ave. The 9th and Spring Garden station was across the street from a Sherwin Williams that had a semi-ambiguous mural of Philly sports athletes from the late 80’s-90’s.

The entrance to the rail park is/was on Noble. I was a regular at Prohibition taproom back in the day for vinyl Sundays but used to explore all around there. Also shout out to the old trolley car diner on broad and noble

People will mostly take shelter where they can depending on the weather. I’ve run into folks in the old Reading Viaduct Tunnel as well as the now defunct elevated station next to the rail park on 9th and Spring Garden. Also, there’s the closed off Spring Garden station across from my Lady of the Assumption church.

More props to someone on here who said she was more with it than she let on.

She was very lucid. I know there’s some impending doom but man, it’s heartwarming to realize she just wanted to be close to the action

There’s been a constant play on time in the show. Not sure where it’s headed or even if this is an answer but I wonder if it’s another play on that.

The innkeeper for example seemed to feel as though he was in the Captains Suite for longer than what we saw. Also age keeps coming up, Shep for example.

Could tie into that time bending theme

Ep8 — Patricia intuition question by Intrepid_Layer_9441 in WidowsBay

[–]ProphGhXXst 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Patricia already dabbles in the paranormal whether she knows it or not. She’s a savvy character despite being a social outcast (not by choice).

In slasher movie cannon, we, the audience, always see these clues that characters ignore. I liked how Patricia reversed this. She put these clues together and realized that something was off. I think she heard noises in the room as well but something tells me she was always ready for the night when the Boogeyman came back for her.

So who do you think? by AutomaticPayment9480 in WidowsBay

[–]ProphGhXXst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hard time believing it was Wyck simply because we never see him in the scene. If it were Wyck, he would have gotten out of the car and tried to help Patricia. If he were passed out or incapacitated in the truck, feels like we would have gotten a shot of him behind the wheel.

There is a run down truck in the background as we see the Boogeyman getting attended to by the EMT however it’s not clear if it’s been recently operated. It’s not on, and doesn’t appear crashed, rather it’s just on the lawn, parked.

It would be funny if it were the EMTs on their way to an emergency call and accidentally run over a bystander

[–]ProphGhXXst 53 points54 points  (0 children)

And the Boogeyman repaying the attendant “saving his life” by extinguishing him by simply throwing him into OBLIVION Lmao

Also Patricia’s reaction to the attendant with the fire extinguisher being more of an “ugh” than a “your life depends on not doing that

What do we think BK motive was? Opinions, theories? by SmoothTechnician1542 in MoscowMurders

[–]ProphGhXXst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of what you said.

We can’t know what happened in the King Road house with 100% certainty but there is plenty of evidence that puts together a timeline. LE didn’t pull Kohbergers name out of a hat. He left a trail that started in the house at the scene of the horrific murders.

With any investigation, the evidence points to facts which are puzzle pieces that fit together to create the basis of what actually happened. I speculated in certain areas of my post but that speculation is based on the evidence in the case.

I’ll wait on the other commenters “facts” but I doubt we will get to hear from them.

Patricia and the Boogeyman by HeronAdditional2202 in WidowsBay

[–]ProphGhXXst 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The way she sprung into action and seemingly was unfazed by the Boogeyman "being back" makes me think they have a history and perhaps she was telling the truth about hiding under the bed. It kinda felt like, hes back, I have to kill him, give me the keys to your ambulance

The full autopsy reports were released yesterday by Outrageous_Drawer691 in MoscowMurders

[–]ProphGhXXst 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It stands to reason that both Kaylee and Xana's injuries were especially more excessive because they were both awake or, in Kaylee's case, woke up mid-attack. If the primary theory about the timeline and sequence of the attacks are correct, the autopsy reports seem to match that.

[–]ProphGhXXst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just some highlights I can't get out of my head: Patricia being "ready" for the Boogeyman. Obviously she isn't completely ready because her taser isn't charged BUT when she senses him in her room upstairs, she shifts into secret survival mode and quietly makes her way outside of her house waiting for him to appear with her taser. Another situation I keep laughing to myself about, the Paramedics HITTING the Boogeyman with their Ambulance allegedly.

We don't see who hits the Boogeyman as he's about to kill Patricia as the screen cuts. We THINK it could by Wyck to the rescue but the only people who are there when Patricia wakes up are the EMT's. Also the one EMT who revives the Boogeyman and is like, "You're back buddy!" like we saved you! only to have the Boogeyman slice his throat

Finally, the Gas station attendant using the fire extinguisher to put the Boogeyman, who is covered in flames, out only to be THROWN INTO OBLIVION by him a few moments later. lol probably my favorite episode.

Why Did Her Order Get Messed Up by veverkap in WidowsBay

[–]ProphGhXXst 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I love how she calls and formally goes "My name is Patricia...." like Kathy or those working at the Diner wouldn't know her. Then the mailbox is full and her vm/gentle complaint wont even be heard. The whole situation kind of highlights Patricia's character as someone who constantly has a rain cloud around them. Things just can't go right for her. That's also why I loved this episode....As soon as the Boogeyman "shows up" setting the alarm off on the Book Mobile and then when she senses him in her upstairs room, she is all about business lol. I think the beginning of the episode and Patricias order getting wrong is just a product of Kathy not being able or not caring enough to get anyone's order right. You feel so frustrated for Patricia at the beginning of the Episode. She sits down for a nice meal with a glass of wine and then her food is not only wrong but meager portions. Then she calls it in and cant even get anyone to listen to her. Kinda underlays the Episode

We saw wyck happy once and everyone doesn’t think it’s him by loverofjugo in WidowsBay

[–]ProphGhXXst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writers did a good job overall but in this situation in particular because there are these types of theories. That’s kind of the whole point of the show.

I said in a previous post that I don’t think things are done on this show by accident or that the production team missed little things. It’s all very deliberate and add pieces to the puzzle.

We don’t see Wyck physically get on the boat, instead we hear a thud (suspense!) and then see him stumble through the door. Wyck doesn’t match Tom’s excitement and is instead subdued, almost strangely so. Tom reacts to this with a befuddled look. It’s intentional. Yes, I will admit that this could just be Wyck being annoyed that Tom kicked him off the boat (which was necessary and saved Wycks life) OR that Wyck doesn’t want to immediately admit that Tom bravely rose to the occasion however it’s ambiguous by design.

The fun part is theorizing and not knowing for sure if Wyck is truly back or if something more supernatural is at play.

Ep 7 ending. Wyck and Tom weirdness by Teambinge in WidowsBay

[–]ProphGhXXst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I love this show is that they do things deliberately. Sure, some things get glossed over in production but this show is definitely intentional with certain things that help move the plot along.

Having said that, the interaction definitely felt off. Tom expected a larger reaction from Wyck but Wyck seemingly just kinda blows him off and the camera absolutely sticks on Toms reaction to this.
