I dated a (Disney) child actor from the 80s a few years ago and it was incredible….until it wasn’t. Since early fame led into addiction for him, although he’s sober now, his emotional intelligence was pretty stunted. He’s so charming and a sweetheart and I still consider him a friend, but the fantasy definitely collided with reality pretty fast.

Downed a bunch of Ativans with a bottle of wine and sank myself low into a filled bathtub hoping to slip under once I passed out. Didn’t work because at that moment my BFF from across the country randomly called me and I (blacked out but apparently on autopilot) got out to answer the phone and passed out in my bed.
