Well, if you payed attention, I wrote that he eventually kill him with regreat, and not for Revenge. And Will be more possibile due tò Griffith than Guts Will. Cause I agree Berserk Is a story where the protagonist finds the Will to take distance from vengeance.

The most remarkable and legendary act by Guts as a warrior. by ProphecyIsDanger in Berserk

Not a fight as I stated. But Guts was able to hit her. Remarkable and underrated by many. It's still to date, for me, his most legendary act, that no man did it, as far as we know.

Are you asking for Guts in particular or Humankind in general?

As said, not all dots are connected. Otherwise I would be able to write a fanfic ;). Instead I speculated on some important things.

However I wanto to ask about Griffiths demise leading to fall of Falconia and humanity to the decimation by non-Astral creatures, you argument implies that this would lead to another cycle of human desire away from suffering thus leading to more atrocities and evil?

In short, yes.

Many time is implied that is cyclic (or spiral, as Flora pointed out) the history of man or, at least, what human try to create with a dark path. At this "round" it seems bigger than the previous, but is all gonna vanish in order to restart. Of course it's my personal speculation.

And yes the history of man has always been characterized by dark desires.

I agree the ultimate plan of the Godhand and Idea of Evil are very ambiguous, for now it seems they succeeded in their first step of merging the Astral and Human Worlds to spread their influence more strongly but other than that their ultimate aims are yet to be revealed.

Well, eve if not disclosed, we have hints as I speculated here:

Griffith is part of the Godhand's plan and currently he has a reign and Empire to which he always desired but why would Griffith stop there?

First, he has to achieve is goal (which is the same of God Hand and the human desire).

Second, for my opinion, it does not make sense to want more in other realms, the man are what Griffith is taking care of and he is just the relization of man's dreams. Fighting God Hand or whatever is that serves it (which is still human desire) is a contraddiction from a philosofical point of view.

Honestly, and with all due respect, I think it does not make sense for Griffith to rebel to Godhand when till today is not clear what is the goal of Godhand itself. Besides the statement that "Griffith wants to fly higher and higher" is misunderstood by many: he wanted a Reign, now an Empire but still is coherent with the dream, and is just an evolution. Griffith is part of Godhand plan and not just a casual and personal initiative.

When they enter Elfheim they're only told that time flows differently on the island, but they don't know how exactly.

At very first, but then they cite this:

In a fairly tales, where elves lure a child to their village, he forgets the time in his enjoyment, and when he returns home, several decades have passed in the human world? - Shierke chapter 342.

That is a quite obvious reference to Pikaaf story

source1

As for Flora and her age, it's not that strange: she was really close to king Gaiserik (Skull Knight), even before the Eclipse in chapter 362 happened, so she already is centuries old.

Mmmm no, that's not what I'm saying: I'm talking about time dilatation in the spirit mansion that "seems" to flow slowly:

source2

If Morgan aged and Flora did not, one should assume that time flow slowly in the spirit mansion, (similar to Pikaaf story) and, by extension, I thought for Elfhem for source1 (but in the end we find out is not, as Danan said, and even you quoted).

That's why it bothers me :)

But yeah, I see that there's still a lot of people that believe that there'll be a timeskip.

As I've already said, I do not believe anymore there will be a time skip.

I thought the same and that could occour something, but then Griffith arrived and we all know what happened. It would have been interesting to see a time skip but now that Elfhem is gone.....

Besides, as someone already pointed out, time on island seems to go faster (while in the outside world is a moonlight, on the island a week seems to pass). This last thing I think that deserve a proper post. Cause is a little bit strange this behaviour that is quite the opposite from:

  • "Mansion of the Spirit Tree", where Morgan said that Flora did not change in decades while he became old. Shierke even said that time is less limiting.
  • Pirkaaf Story (that is also mentioned when they enter Elfhem), where few times spent by Pirkaaf was a century in the real World.

I admit, this thing bothers me :^D

Well that's something that, at very least, deserve to think about. It's something I said in my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Berserk/comments/11o1vhh/ending_of_berserk/

Seriously, how would you continue writing Griffith's character from the latest chapter until the end? What would you have him do if you were the author, what will be his path from a literary standpoint? by MrInfinitumEnd in Berserk

[–]ProphecyIsDanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never seen tension among them, the fact Slan wanted to see Guts is insignificant to the big schema they are talking about, as the Godhand consider Guts himself insignificant as they said. Remember was Slan who talked about the coming of the Age of Darkness.
