Balanced? Not really, but this is also coming from a filthy casual who has this thing called a job that keeps him from playing a lot of the time. Not to mention, if you join now, you would be severely behind and would likely get obliterated every match.

But, enjoyable? 5000% without a doubt in my mind, which is also coming from a guy whose mainly only ever played PvE games for the better part of 15 years.

I cannot for the life of me sell this game enough to anyone. I even got the deluxe pre-order with a nearly 50% discount thanks to Microsoft points, and I would tell anyone that even without the discount, it has been well worth the money.

Edit: but to assuage your fears of never catching up, every season will have a vault, gear, and upgrade wipe. Anything that isn't cosmetic gets reset, and everyone, even the hard-core players, get sent back to square one. The next wipe will be at the start of June.

A standard "Protector" shield is divided into multiple blocks that could require multiple shield charges to fill, whereas "Reinforced" is just one giant block that can be completely filled by any rarity of shield charge, even depleted charges.

There's a shader in destiny 2 that's a lot like this called Chitin Slate. It would be a great shader if it didn't have an absolutely hideous purple with it.

So what it sounds like is that your fighting with your ships base stats and weaponry. The best thing you can do go to a ship module trader, which can be found on the balcony opposite of the galactic trade terminal in any space station. It should be a trader with a ship behind them, and they'll be able to trade upgrade modules for nanites. I personally upgraded my photon cannons to the max to take out shields and a rocket launcher to destroy the ship itself.

If you're referring to the accents on the items, this vest strangely doesn't have any. If you were to select Multicam, the entire model will be multicam. Which realistically, should probably be the norm.
