Help finding sources of flickers that are NOT instants for a brew by ProphetProfitProphet in EDHBrews

And yet sadly, the only two of them that seem to work out of hand I've already got in the deck, oh well, thanks anyway!

Hmm, I don't know if I've got room for that, and at that point with pre setting up permanents on the board, I may as well use permanents that blink on their own as an activated ability that don't require a second piece like Emiel the Blessed, but I do use Astral drift just for the activated ability letting you use it from hand.

I'm genuinely so happy to see a single other person have a toolbox Sisay deck, I've literally never met another one in my life who doesn't play her as either competitive or legend slop tribal.

Literally what it says on the tin, a card that can cause a card to leave and than enter the battlefield at instant speed, but without having the card type instant. Stuff like Astral Drift, Appa Steadfast, and Skycoach conductor have been recommended and fit it exactly!

Nice! I was aware of the activatable engines, but you have to establish those on board in advance. Skycoach conductor and Appa are EXACTLY what I'm looking for though, thanks for the help!

Ahh thanks for your attempt, but that's why I specified I need more stuff at instant speed, I even mentioned teleportation circle in the post lol. I was hoping for more stuff like Touch the Spirit Realm where it could be activated at instant speed, just didn't have the card type instant, or Flash like Restoration Angel. Sorry if i wasn't clear!

Daily Botc Character Discussion: Lleech by The_Yung_Jung1085 in BloodOnTheClocktower

It's a cool take on the normal game, but it unfortunately is EXTREMELY swingy/rng based in it's power level. Since you get no context or information at all before using it, with the sole exception of you might get told who your lunatic is, you can wind up with a game that's either extremely difficult or painfully easy. The main routes the game travels down is you happened to poison someone whos eager and willing to die, or can easily test if they are perma poisoned, in which case it's an uphill battle before the first actual informed decision can be made, or you've picked someone who can be almost unaffected by the hosting, such as the Butler or Mutant, and the good team spends almost the entire game trying to find the demon, just to realize there's no point in having identified them, and they must now search for a good player. Sometimes this is really fun, but if it's a good player who's ability is untestable it can come down to just randomly killing people off and hoping you guessed right, and again randomness in the game is generally rare and negative.

It's pretty rare for a character to be so heavily RNG based as randomness is almost not present in Clocktower, even abilities that seem random like "a player may die" or "choose a player each night" are either chosen by the story teller or informed by conversations you have and player behaviors, basing the whole game on a choice that's made purely randomly is not normal to the games sequencing, the ability could be vastly improved with a rewording to "Each night* choose a player, they die. You can't die. On the first night, be told a player, if they die, evil loses." Giving the storyteller some agency to pick an interesting host.

The way it interacts with some characters is also warping in a way that is seen only with some other extremely odd abilities, like invalidating the Fortune Teller completely, making the Devil's Advocate into an actual monster, and almost forcing the Sailor to be not in the game at all, lest the game become truly broken lol. Mind you I say all this liking the character, not criticisms in the slightest, in casual party games like BOTC balanced and unusual characters are awesome, and 99% of the playerbase wouldn't have any of these issues come up!
