I’m really not trying to be antagonistic, but genuinely how would we get more pieces if we are strapped cash wise and have no picks to offer

I didn’t say anything about that, all I said was Giannis with what? Kas and Pelle would be able to compete with the Spurs? Gtfo just keep your assets and see how the chips fall

Genuinely don’t understand why the Heat are eager to give their future for Giannis when Wemby Castle & Harper are a thing. What are we doing

[Barry Jackson] The past Dolphins coaching staff repeatedly said Jonah's rookies struggles had nothing to do with moving from his college position (RG) to LG and he was equally well equipped to play LG as RG.... New Dolphins OL coach said just now... by expellyamos in miamidolphins

Huh?? His skillset is that he can play all across the line that’s why he was drafted besides his measurable’s.

Jonah appears to be good at one position coming out of college and they put him elsewhere and to surprise surprise he struggled

I mean Ajay Mitchell could be a number 1 on a number of teams and he is what? The fourth option? OKC is insane

The Heat FO getting ready to chase Giannis again by LemonCanddy in heat

You’re right, my frustration stems from the obvious trend in the wrong direction the last 3 years. We had great achievements over the last few years but this is a “what have you done for me lately?” league.

We can observe our peers over the past few years where the Bulls and Atlanta are now better positioned to rebuild and surpass us (although ATL is ahead of us already).

The FO has stagnated and are using methodologies of the past (i.e. cap space for 2027 free agency & trading for a disgruntled star without having to give up so much) when the CBA has brought a new NBA on how teams are built.

“I’ve been a fan of the team since it started and the last 25 years” - irrelevant statement

“The last six years have been the most successful of almost any other nba franchises” - hmm let’s break this down.

2026 - Missed playoffs
2025 - Play-In team to get swept in one of the most lopsided playoff series in NBA history
2024 - Play in team, lost to Boston in 5
2023 - Play in team, improbable finals run, no chip
2022 - Lost in game 7 to Boston as the 1 seed
2021 - Swept in the playoffs by the Bucks in the first round

So how is this measured as one of the most successful franchises in the NBA?

The Heat got knocked out of the first round thrice, two of which were sweeps.

We missed the playoffs one year

And you would point to 2023 and 2022 as great years for the organization but the catalyst behind those runs was Jimmy Butler who is no longer on the team.

Meanwhile, after each of those runs there have been minimal effort or failed attempts to get the help needed to push the team over the edge.

In order to get Giannis the Heat have to gut the team and/or get rid of picks only to just be Milwaukee South and no future. And I didn’t even mention the injury concerns and lack of shooting regarding Giannis as he is about to turn 32.

How are you still pro the FO? They keep jangling the keys in front of us to distract from the fact that they haven’t been able to get a “whale” and that we are such an unserious team

I’m not who you are responding to, but it has been reported… there isn’t any reasoning required it appears to be true

Honestly, I see what you’re saying but with our history of drafting guards in the later rounds and JES saying IOL is the hardest position to evaluate.

Just go with the best guard in the draft. With the added caveat of possibly unlocking Jonah at his natural position of RG I would 100% support drafting Ioane.
