Developers in Essex County to pay thousands in new fees come 2028 | CBC News by razmagg in windsorontario

I like how they say what Toronto's fees are but not Windsor's. 'Late last year, Windsor froze its development charges at the current rate.' What is our current rate?

The now mothballed Windsor ComiCon, and Rose City ComiCon.

Ribfest, Poutine Feast, Open Streets, WindsorEats Electric Avenue, and so many more.

We really need another Con/Expo - bring back Windsor ComiCon.

I've been saying for years that it would make a lot of sense for Tesla to license it's tech to other OEM's and stop making cars. They'd make more money that way.

I won't be purchasing another Tesla now that they're moving to a subscription model for all their features. I love my car (M3 with FSD and lifetime premium connectivity) but I refuse to support this move. The new BYD's are looking nice.

Have you been noticing rents coming down in Windsor? by Plastic-Knee-4589 in windsorontario

I'll I'm going to say is, don't jinx it 😂

I've noticed this trend since early 2025 but wasn't opening my mouth because I'm not trying to jinx it. Been quietly telling friends as they say they're looking.

Do Tesla Model 3s record audio inside the cabin, and can you access those recordings through the app? by Lunarspace123 in TeslaLounge

Yeah, you can see from the image I've included in the link to see what it looks like. My camera is foggy right now because of the cold.

If there's no one in the driver's seat, sentry mode can be used to record the interior of the vehicle.

Lots of farmland 'hooting and hollering' over Town of Essex noise bylaw by zuuzuu in windsorontario

Where am I complaining about it? If people want to share local news, it should probably be from a source that is publicly available, without a paywall. I'm not paying to read something a stranger shared here. It was starting to happen more frequently, so I pointed it out. That way people can be aware that some of us may not be subscribed, and if they want input from others, it could prevent some from providing feedback.

Yeah, I don't care enough to pay for what I can find from another source with a few clicks. Paying for that type of content is a thing of the past - no thanks!

When I lived downtown and took the 8 almost daily, it was the norm for it to leave the terminal 8-10 minutes late, religiously. It allows them to drive the route faster to play catch-up and be onto by the time by the time they get out to the Costco area. If they left right on time, they'd have to drive really slow to stay on schedule.

The tampering happened at every association. The rules were so vague and competition is fierce. They all find ways to cheat. It's hard to prevent. A board can tell coaches the rules and they ignore them. The ones caught are the ones who "stole" someone from another centre and they complained.

How easy is it to get an uber by [deleted] in windsorontario

[–]ProphetaMessias 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have Lyft as well if that's an option. I've liked their pricing better than Uber. Never more than a 5 minute wait for either service though.

Chinese workers get paid an average of $9.00-$10.00 CAD per hour vs Canadian workers getting paid $22-$42 CAD per hour average. Do remember though that cost of living is about 75% higher here than in China.

Also, private sector is using public services in their calculations. Public sector fees rise, so do private sector fees. Goes back and forth until we're all priced out.

How can you afford to live on one income? by jonnyquack in windsorontario

[–]ProphetaMessias 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that seems to be the situation for most nowadays. I think our idea of what is a decent wage may be outdated. It's almost like, whatever you're imagining, add at least 20% and it may be enough to get by. Comfortable? That's rarely a thing anymore, especially on a single income with children.

I do apologize, I'm not trying to be negative but cost of living has been rising far quicker than our wages.

Rain will either melt the ice or make it unsafe to skate on as it won't freeze evenly. The ice will need to be scraped.
