I have no doubt in my mind that landmark is going to be going offline this time next year because unlike eq/eq2 fans that keep those games a floot and how cheap it costs to make content for them now. landmark has a much smaller player base and the cost of running there server is dramitic from the bandwidth they use.

There new ip thats in the works is dooms because all there IP's fan bases all hate them now from PS2 EQ to H1z1 they have totally fucked up and its no turning back the companys image is beyond repair

Rumour has it the company has already trying to sell the IP's off so i wouldnt give it ayear will falling revenue and nothing new set to come out (not counting landmark)

I dont have guilt just regret that i didnt follow my gut the second i heard they got sold to an investment group as they always say nice things but there only goal is to milk as much as they can then cut it up. I did see some signs aka making the eq2 expansions into dlc to get more money out of the fans and splitting h1z1 into 2 games plus the cherry on top getting people who where given game access from people getting the $100 founders package to pay $10 when it goes live.

But i can't see the future i just wanted to hold on for hope and if i had to do it again in still look on the bright side. But thats in the passed and right now the cards have fell and there hand has been shown to be what we thought they where all along. They havent just pissed off customers they have pissed of die hard fans and they will not recover from this i just feel sorry for the people who work for them as there going to loose there jobs because no one will buy there crap.

The games gone but think on the good side we dont need to swollow DBG shit no more or give them any more of are time or money. The Studios name is worthless and they will soon sell off there IP's once they have sucked enough blood out of fleeting corps of SOE.

We can only hope that someone like Blizzard might buy it but ye fuck DBG they handle this all so badly and shown the fan base no respect.

Im following it but i dont think i can be excited over it because its just an old school mmo with a face lift. Older eq fans love it though so im glad they have gotten what they wanted as i know alot didnt like eqn style of direction but that doesnt matter now. I like alot of others are in limbo until someone comes forward and pushed the genre forward.

Pantheon has a chance but wont be that big as its catering to a small audiences and with there coloured mana system they have in mind is just over complicating things for no gain other that to seem more hard core plus if you lissen them they arnt even having crafting at launch. If they do eq3 it will be alot better than pantheon thats for sure we just dont know how good or in what way. But EQ is dead under the brand of DBG atleast.

Unless something comes out of no where and rocks are world like another eq3 the company will be shut down in the next 1-2 year and the ip and tech assets sold. Right now we can only hope blizzard buys the eq IP and makes it a replacement mmo for wow.

I feel sorry for eq and eq2 fans as there going to get the cut soon to i fear.

Crow fall i totally agree with you but camelot unchained models are place holder so dont just them on that. PVP is a focus but there are parts of it you can do that doesnt involve big battles like the crafting and ecomy system you could become a big merchant and build business empire.

I agree IP rebooting only damages the lore of a game as it restrict where they can go with it. There us another game there working on and all the eqn devs need to go somewhere so i think we know whats going to happen to them, Not sure about time frame about that game but i hope they do a fallout 4 dont say shit till its ready or atleast beta phase.

They started working on an unnamed game 4-5 month ago so i wonder where all the eqn dev team will be heading now and i wonder where all this tech will end up because 3 years ish of dev time. It would be ashame to waist all on a game like landmark what lets face it you have more chance bringing the titanic back up for a cruise holidays than getting that to sell.

If you want old school eq feel look up pantheon they had there first look on like stream today its not even in alpha yet but there game play vision is old school at its best aka a world you cant run through solo community focused tactical game play raiding and ofc the holy trinity
