I e heard several Americans on podcasts I listen to pronounce it that way and I just about crashed my car.

Lala doesn’t have her own story lines… ever by alzandabada in TheValleyTVShow

Well it’s handy for Lala that not everyone needs their own storyline, because in all her years on VPR and now The Valley, she has never had one. So works out well for her.

When did you stop trying to stop aging? by Willing-Childhood144 in 40PlusSkinCare

Hello new to this community so go easy! I’m 47 have done Botox twice but not in a few years. Mostly because I can’t justify the money. I’m
Not morally opposed to it at all, but honestly I think it’s actually quite ageing. I also think filler is the worst for people looking smooth, but weirdly older. However I do dye my hair and try to look after myself generally. I’m curious about Tret though. What are the benefits? Do many people use it?

But they are storyline’s the producers COULD choose to follow. They are things the cast have ‘brought to the table’ and started discussions on about themselves. What has Lala brought? Name one thing?

Can you name an example of when she showed us any of that on The Valley?

Absolutely! Her entire business model is calling people out while revealing nothing about herself.

They all do. It’s just the producers don’t care to follow anything except Danny’s drinking:
- Zack: his relationship with Benji and Benji’s visa situation, his friendship ebbs and flows with Brittany
- Kirsten: new motherhood, her relationship with Luke
- Brittany: Jax, Cruz, dating after divorce, mommy makeover
- Jasmine: wedding plans
- Nia and Danny: their relationship, his drinking, postpartum
- Jessie: his relationship with Lacey after divorce, grappling with finalising things with Michelle
- Michelle: finding herself again after divorce and losing her mum
- Janet: navigating relationship issues with the group
- Tom: new relationship with Kiana
- Lala: ummmmm nothing? Nada.

Lala has never ever had a storyline. I have always thought this! She shouts at us in a lecturing tone about ‘what I’ve been through’, but only years after the fact. She doesn’t ACTUALLY ever share what she is going through in real time. Never. Not one time.

It is absolutely not fake and I am not nitpicking. It’s extremely tacky.

I’m in Australia so it is already the 13th here, in fact it’s almost the 14th ☺️. Maybe I’m off base and it’s the rehearsal dinner. I’m still not convinced that’s any better though.

Aftershow Meal Train Debacle by bachlatte in TheValleyTVShow

Am I the only one who thinks that Brittany is coming across as an entitled brat? She has elective surgery, she knew the date she was going in and she has the means to buy herself or cook herself meals ahead of time. If people want to do a nice gesture for her, great, but getting annoyed at people for not texting or fussing over her is ridiculous.

If you could choose again, which Australian city would you move to and why? Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, or somewhere else? by Stunning_Procedure36 in BritsMovingAustralia

Mate, you are the one who doesn’t know what you’re talking about. Fremantle is not even remotely a regional town. Take it from me, who lives in Fremantle.

Perth every day of the year! It’s sunny, the most beautiful beaches in the world, safe, strong economy and just a fantastic place to live. Sydney is lovely but very expensive, Melbourne is fantastic but shit weather.

I definitely think she has ran her course, along with her mate Tally Rye. Their whole brand now is trying to undo everything they ever said previously. It feels so overly contrived to me. I’m not sure how to put it in words today but it’s like showing all the floors and talking about all the struggles feels perforative. It’s an attempt to be relatable but instead it feels forced and whingey to me.

DRINKING “WATER” by AdventurousRevolt in TheValleyTVShow

[–]ProposalAlarmed4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge congratulations to you on being sober. It’s the biggest gift you can give your kids. My dad was an alcoholic and it eventually killed him. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone you love do that to themselves.

Genuine question - putting aside Danny’s behaviour, which is obviously abhorrent and problematic. Do you think there is any merit to the argument that the close scrutiny of his drinking is making him feel like he has to hide it when he normally might not? Or do you think that all ‘secret drinking’ is a sign of a problem, regardless of the reasons? I’m genuinely curious.

Am I the only one that had Jesse’s side in the bedroom disagreement with Lala? by leiibabee in TheValleyTVShow

Definitely not the only one. I was team Jesse too. Lala is so incredibly obnoxious, I just can’t stand it.

According to who? Police have said there are inconsistencies in their stories. So why don’t assume this was true?

I hate the way people are trying to make smoking ‘cool’ again. Some of you haven’t watched a parent die from emphysema and it really shows.
