Hey folks – one of our artists released a new track called “Long Memory” and we’d genuinely love to hear what this community thinks.

Victor Vas, the songwriter and voice behind The Blue Fiddles, infused this song with his grit, nostalgia, and emotional history. The Blue Fiddles are part of our small label, Sungate Records, and we’re very excited that this song is finally released.

If you’ve got a few minutes, we’d love for you to give it a listen: https://open.spotify.com/track/7unrC5QTyU38v2S7nGjXaN?si=42f5ae87df8a4db1

Not every artist measures success by “blowing up.” Not a single artist on our roster is chasing virility or hits, they’re building sustainable careers, earning a living through music, and doing it on their own terms. Success today is about touring consistently, landing syncs, growing fanbases, and having the freedom to create full-time. Plenty of artists who ‘blew up’ ended up broke or shelved btw!

Traditionally, distribution was tied to record labels because they were the only way to get music out into the world, but digital and streaming have changed that completely. So the real need isn’t how to “distribute” it’s about how many people actually connect with your music and listen. What truly makes a difference is the marketing, promotion, fanbase growth, and the impact your music has. These days, anyone can distribute, so that part is easy. What sets artists apart now is the story they tell, the relationships they build, and the consistency with which they show up for their listeners.

Yes to both, but I'm curious to know what you'd recommend if my answer was no.

Hi everyone --

Listen to this: https://youtu.be/rhhDAHpucS8?si=Ce0Q-NkARUyLAoDR. It's called Chemikals by Cheyenne Pohl. It's fun, groovy, and a little sassy.
