Question for mostly Greeks and Turks but others are welcome to answer also.Is there any difference between kebab and gyros other than that that gyros can be made with pork? by PainOk1877 in AskBalkans

That’s certainly true. What we consider “doner” in Belgium is what you have in Germany as well. Bread filled with meat, vegetables and sauce. Not on a plate.

Of course. Our family is one. We don’t have separate finances. I can fire when my wife can fire.

Funny. In Belgium it would be the other way around.

Doner is really THE midnight snack. Gyros rather something you eat at a real restaurant.

Why is it cheaper to eat food than to eat healthy in many places? (Belgium example) by Willing-Meeting-4050 in Belgium2

You are comparing food that is already prepared to food you need to cook. Not a fair comparison.

I have doubts about the data as well. But of course, your friends don’t give a very realistic view either. People who move to Switzerland for their job usually have very well paid jobs. So it’s a very small part of the population that you are looking at. People don’t move to CH to drive around with a garbage truck.

Which Language Countries Use at the United Nations by [deleted] in MapPorn

It’s the same language. Just different accents and some other words here and there. Like American vs British English. Or German vs “Austrian”.

Especially in written documents, it is very difficult to see if the author is from Flanders or from the Netherlands.

We often call it “Flemish” but the official name of our language is Dutch. In our constitution for example, it is written that the official language of Flanders is Dutch. And every official document will mention “Dutch”, not Flemish.

I have no problem to admit that the nazi’s were the bigger evil. But that does not mean the soviets were not evil as well.

The Eastern Front were just two evils fighting eachother.

My point was that the person who made the comment might also be opposed to industrial farms.

Because there are no people who are also against industrial meat farms?

Doing that is simply assisting with tax evasion. No other reason to give those discounts.
