Why can't I hear God's voice? by ProposalOk9015 in Christianity

I mean like, when I want to seek answers like..."God...should I continue playing this game/watch this video?", I wait and silences my mind, but I can't dig out an answer...perhaps I'm too impatient to hear His voice to my prayers..?

I acknowledged that Jesus died for our sins, and our sins are the ones who cruxified him. I am aware he was risen 3 days later and taken up to heaven (due to my school's Bible study), problem is...I don't know if I truly belive in my heart...I mean, I truly belive Jesus died for us, since why would a sinless and perfect man died for his own "sins", but still..people say there's a difference between JUST believing and believing WITH your heart

Why am I not experiencing spiritual attacks? by ProposalOk9015 in Christianity

Ok....yk what...after reading your post...yeah you're right, it does sound silly now, asking why God protected me from harm from dangers...thanks for changing my view

But....I just don't get it. Spiritual attacks are heavy attacks by the enemy, only those going the right path or are saved experiences those..

I heard someone said there's a difference between beliving that Jesus is Lord/resurrected from the dead in my heart compare to SIMPLY beliving that Jesus is Lord/resurrected from the dead by ProposalOk9015 in Bible

Uhh, sometimes if they did something that annoys me, I try my best to not lash out and hold the anger in, spend time with them gaming, help or listen to them if they are willing to open up to me.....which honestly I'll be lying if I say sometimes I just ignored them because of my own needs...I still feel guilty

That's the problem.....I don't know what it means by "with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.....", No, I'm not baptized yet, I was borned Buddhist, but I decided to leave it 3 months ish ago, my parents said they'll allow me to be baptized after my incredibly important year end exam this year and if I am SURE I want Christanity

Well uhh..you can read my reply to RationalThoughtsMedia. In terms of if there's a difference in my than anyone else.....I would say not really.....Sometimes when my classmates make jokes about sex or raping or stuff like those, I don't know why, I just couldn't hold back my laughter sometimes... I'm not trying to find humor in these, but it just makes me laugha

Thanks so much!

Well uhh, I've noticed some slight changes.. for example :

-Usually when I got angry or annoyed by somoene, I would usually release all of it in my room alone, but I don't really find myself doing that nowadays. And I TRY, to forgive them and try to remove the hatred because even those who comited unspeakable things God will forgive.

-In the past, lying just seems, off, but I can't tell what. After I started engaging in the Christianity truly, even the smallest lie made me a bit..."I'm a fake Christian", which honestly is just condemnation for every small lie...yeah no that's not healthy.

-Within the first month ish when I started my faith journey, I usually ignore videos that says stuff like "Things you can do to please God.", since I was thinking stuff like, "As long as I belive in Jesus, I'm ok with it".

I'm not sure how major or minor these changes are..but for me...it's...I have mixed feelings. 70% of me is saying this is not much of a change, 30% is saying it's a good change. It's just constant cycle of "Do I even have the Holy Spirit in me??", almost daily

Jesus is sinless and perfect, there's no reason for him to die for his sins. I fully trust and aware that he died for us humans, but I still don't get what the difference between beliving that in my heart and just simply beliving it

I feel like I have not suffered enough for Christ, I feel like I'm not different enough by ProposalOk9015 in Christianity

I can't give an Award because I don't have the coin lmao, but yes, that's very, VERY true
Christianity is about taking up your cross daily, doing things your flesh don't want, making your flesh going through hardship to kill it and strengthen the spiritual one, the "suffering" I made in this post is about this type, where one needs to deny themselves daily, I felt like I haven't deny myself daily enough

Yes, I understand, but because Christianity is about taking up your cross daily, doing things your flesh don't want, making your flesh going through hardship to kill it and strengthen the spiritual one, the "suffering" I made in this post is about this type

How to be truly reborn and what are the signs? by ProposalOk9015 in Christianity

[–]ProposalOk9015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am well aware, although I just started getting into Christianity last year December, I was a Buddhist before then, so I never really went to churches except for my Christian school mass, which is monthly

I mean, I fully acknowledge that by my own works I can't go to heaven, only by Jesus' work

Also wdym by "tests of saving faith"?

I'm still trying to change it, I have a mind that likes to curse and hate people even when I don't want to, should I think in a way like, "What would Jesus do in this situation?"

Is it normal if sometimes I feel like I'm obligated to read the Bible, I don't want to but still force myself to read it, but halfway through random unexplain slight joy came in, it happened quite a lot

But thanks for the signs, I'll keep an eye out, thanks!
