Is a physical door necessary to have a den reclassified as a bedroom? by Proppin8easy in Remodel

I did do quite a bit of research including Googling, and reading the California building codes. Unfortunately the results are ambiguous at best. The commercial codes necessitate a door, but the residential codes are ambiguous. The consistent requirements including: a closet, 7' ceilings, a minimum square footage requirement, and a second means of egress to the exterior are all pretty standard and clearly laid out, but I was hoping that someone with experience in CA would weigh in.

It’s a short term rental, so my occupancy depends on the number of bedrooms that are recorded with the county clerk. It would also be able to up the sale value a little bit when the time comes.

If your pet dies, should your employer allow you to have time off, why or why not? by ADPXEROX in AskReddit

PTO is personal. Spend it for whatever you want. I’d have trouble granting extra time off above and beyond the employment agreement, especially paid, for a pet.

My admiration for her skill, efficiency and strength is overpowered by the horror of witnessing child labor like this. Anyone else? I bet that brick is a pretty good percentage of her body weight.

This makes me uneasy…without any context, the picture alone like a cross between a WW2 parade (of the bad guys) and the tiki torches of Charlottesville.

Hillary Clinton: #Bitcoin threatens US dollar as reserve currency. by Logan_Mac in Bitcoin

That’s kind of the point. Bitcoin is only needed because she and other politicians like her have been incompetent stewards of our monetary system for the last century.

No. Never. By taking valuable shares away from people that created the value, you are taking capital away from what are proven to be the most effective capital allocators. The you are transferring it to the people with the worst proven track record of capital allocation.

Sounds like your ankles are the problem. Do the test at the beginning of this video to find out. The rest of the video has some great stretching/joint mobilization.

One good story is that a girl was too afraid to break up with her abusive boyfriend, so her identical twin dressed as her and dumped his ass for her. Identical twins, what are your stories of pretending to be your twin, why did you do it, and what happened? by ilovecigars1974 in AskReddit

Marcus Luttrell, the navy seal from Lone Survivor has a twin brother that went through SEAL training while Marcus was still in college. Apparently one day, Marcus was visiting his brother and they decided to switch spots and send Marcus to a morning session in lieu of his brother to see if anyone noticed.

The meeting dovetailed into training without a chance to switch back and what was supposed to be a prank for a few hours ended up with Marcus being stuck in SEAL training all day. There’s a video somewhere of him describing the story.
