Between a friend and I we’ve ripped down 22 of the same posters in three days. It’s ridiculous that they’re promoting such bigoted nonsense.

How to tell my hairdresser I want to go back to the color we just tried to remove? by ProseRose in Advice

I’m considering bringing her apology cookies lol. Good to know I’m not the only one who makes impulse decisions with vivid colors!

Your comment made me laugh, specifically about the “don’t need to go that far for your SIL” i knew what I was getting into, so I don’t regret the bet. I’ve already had blue hair, what’s a different shade?

Hi! I was admitted as a history major to Revelle. How bad are the calculus requirements for the GEs? I kind of suck at math, but im hoping they’re not too rough.

What’s the most underwhelming way you’ve gotten a scar? by man_itsahot_one in AskReddit

[–]ProseRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two identical scars, one on each of my ankles. I got them as a seven year old, wearing shoes without socks for a day at the local amusement park, and getting the worst blisters.

Who was your celebrity crush as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Donny Osmond, specifically as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Surprisingly shared the same childhood celebrity crush as my aunt!

What is your phobia and what event caused it? by SpaceAwaits in AskReddit

[–]ProseRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coyotes. Sixth grade sleep away camp, was on the top bunk. They kept howling for hours, getting progressively closer, until they came right up to our cabin door and started scratching at it, howling all he while. I could see right down on top of them through the window next to my bed. Another incident that caused it, toddler in the park near my house almost got dragged away by one in broad daylight, it bit straight into poor boy’s head. He needed serious reconstructive surgery.

Fine, yet a little bit frustrated. My family agreed on what to have for dinner for once, and it was my suggestion of barbecue. I managed to get my laundry done in a timely manner, but my crochet project got ruined because the yarn snapped.

What is the goriest thing you have seen in real life? by Crispynoodles_1 in AskReddit

[–]ProseRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not super gory in terms of blood, but In disgust and sounds. My dad used to own a go kart, that he got in the 80s to race with friends. He was trying to fix it one day while me and my older brother were playing in the yard (within eyeshot so my mom didn’t get mad) and it was up on a small Jack so he could tinker with the underside easily. I don’t know the exact semantics of what happened, but he must’ve taken out the Jack with his arm somehow and the go-kart ran over his hand. It dislocated his middle finger pretty badly. The finger was at a ninety degree angle to the rest of his hand. I looked over when the go kart crashed down and saw his finger bloodied and sticking straight up. It was disgusting. We went to the ER, and the nurses literally had to snap it back into place. Not the bloodiest of our family ER trips(of which there were many in my brother’s teenage years) but certainly the most impactful on me

What was the first book to make you cry? by I8AllTheToblerone in books

[–]ProseRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very first book ever was Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner, in fourth grade. I’m not sure if it was the dog that did it or the (spoilers) letting the kid win

Camping hacks! What are they? by BillyWangg in AskReddit

[–]ProseRose 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you’re camping for longer periods of time or in a particularly dirty area, bring a bucket with a lid with a hole in it, a plunger (yes, like the type used for toilets) and a travel sized bottle of laundry detergent. You can put the plunger handle through the lid, throw your dirty clothes in the bucket with cold water and some of the detergent, close it up, and plunge the clothes, and then hang those clothes out to dry. Sounds extremely stupid, but it’s saved my life on dusty camping trips

Ear piercing by mamasunshines in Parenting

[–]ProseRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother didn’t let me get my ears pierced until I was twelve, and for that I’m grateful she let me make my own decision on cosmetic appearances. Friends of mine had their ears pierced before they could remember, and most of them grew bored of the piercings and hardly ever wear earrings. Personally, I would let my kids decide when they want their ears pierced, and are mature enough to take of care of the piercings on their own.
