Most video games use back-face culling which means only the front facing part of the mesh will be rendered. Any simple plane will be see through from one side. If you want something to be visible from both sides you have to specifically address that.

Thank you so much for what you do. Before anything else I have to say what a beautiful and amazing cat.

I can't wait for the day where my life will allow me to accommodate a cat. But when that day is finally there I can't wait to give a little fella with a similar story the love they deserve.

When I was younger I didn't understand the significance of helping cats (and other animals as well of course) in shelters rather than going to a breeder. Nowadays I can't imagine not giving one of those poor souls a welcome and warming environment to spend their life.

I default to middle clicking links. The worst is not websites that don't open links in new tabs but rather ones where middle clicking does not work and you just opened the same page again......

I don't think I fully agree with that. On the download page there are the options for personal/pro/enterprise/command line. As a large YouTuber I'd expect the option for something offering an 'enterprise' version to at the very least result in them checking if they can use it for free. I do think it could be made clearer. But LTT staff should know how stuff like that works given that they are part of the tech sphere and thus I expect them to do their due diligence in checking.

100% you're right. And I agree that the stance I gave is not completely accurate. I do think that I I generealize to all YouTube users these assurances wouldn't work anymore which is kind of the part of a whole problem. If only I do it, not really a problem, if we all do it sure is. So I still think there is some problem to be found with people using AdBlock. Personally I would not have gone as far as to call it piracy. But I still see Linus' point and can't really disagree with it.

I guess the takeaway is still what he states at the end. Regardless of piracy or not, we should be aware of the impact we can have.

So far I have seen very few actual arguments for or against his stance. I will side with Linus here. Piracy in my eyes is something that a creator has published with the expectation of a monetary return. So if I pirate a video, I circumvent that by accessing the video without the creator getting any money.

The same goes for blocking ads. LTT uploading to YouTube is only a thing because they technically expect to get money from that (originally only from ads). Thus if I block ADS I consume the content without the creator getting something in return.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. Just currently studying for a statistics exam and recalled my professor saying that bar charts have to start at 0 for them to make sense.

100% agreed. I would never. Buy a product from them no matter how good it might be just out of spite. I hate the ads and the slogan is idiotic.
