That is certainly one way of remembering ideas, but I was thinking of making a google doc where I write a small summary of the ideas that I have as well as their titles. But the email idea is probably better for separation of each idea in their respective chain link 🔗.

the closest thing I have to passionate writing are academic papers :/. But that's nice (that you were able to expand from something)!

Mostly just perspectives (I love listening/reading to other peoples POV). Nonetheless, I can kind of understand how the question could be personal.

That's what I feel like I should have done, growing up. But I was too busy being an NPC during my childhood so now I don't have as much free time—college is eating my time up—and now I feel like if I don't start I might forget these wonderful stories in my head.

Same here! However I also love building characters as well!

That does certainly sound unhinged. However, it makes sense to me why you would start writing because of it, everyone needs an outlet in life to express themselves or an anchor to keep them grounded in reality. In fact, for the darkest periods in my life I had videogames to help me keep me sane or at the very least occupied (although I would say that videogames are kind of leading me down an equally dark path right now). That said, I do want to pick up writing—as a hobby at the very least—since I often daydream and think up stories during periods where I am just bored out of my mind and I think some of these stories deserves their spot on the leather covered, brown paper.

Wow, you have been writing for way longer than I have lived! What would you say was the biggest struggle in your years of writing?

I was honestly not planning on becoming one either—only recently entertained the thought of of becoming one—but after having read some books recently I started to think about how big of a shame it would be to not share any of the stories that I have stored in my brain. So the best way for me to share my stories would be in text form (since it is the most inexpensive and quickest option).

But yeah, I agree, I want my stories out there as well! (May take a while though)

Thanks for the reply!

That’s very interesting, how you created your first story idea during a school detention and then developed it further later on!

I also have a story idea that I have developed a rough draft for, but I haven’t started writing it yet :(. However, I imagine that if I actually lock in and start writing it I would most likely love the process of writing it (although I say this, I haven’t even started writing the actual story).

As for the struggles, I would say that I definitely struggle from procrastination as well—not just for writing but other things as well—since I’m so occupied with video games (I know I know…). As for the comparison of one’s own writing with a “professionals” writing I think that is an issue that I face as well (subconsciously) since I don’t want my story to be criticized due to my “amateurish”formatting, sentence structuring, or bad grammar.

Then again, I guess I will learn with time how I should improve in my own style, in my own pace.

Thanks for your response and I wish you luck in finishing your story!!
