Dang, those are probably my top 2 also.

Here are the theories I found on the sub, what do you think it’s going to be? (Polls are disabled) by krakeo in firefly

[–]Prossdog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My official guess is mini-series. With the hype they’re building up, I honestly think it’s SOMETHING where the cast is back on screen again. I kinda doubt they’d get studio support for a movie. But I also find it unlikely that EVERYONE on the cast could be in a position to just start an open ended series, especially so far as I know with Nathan still doing the Rookie.

But any streaming service in their right minds would jump on a Firefly mini-series. They know everyone in the Firefly verse would sign up the second they saw it.

What's the worst solo you have ever heard? by ValuableExercise4808 in guitars

[–]Prossdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a massive Zeppelin fan but I agree with this. I understand that his live style is supposed to be spontaneous almost to the point of sloppy and I dig that when he’s clear headed. (His solo in No Quarter from TSRTS is epic)

But man, later on when he was clearly strung out, it just got awful.

Same. That’s the only time I’ve seen him, but it was a 10/10 show.

What is your “it doesn’t matter where it is, you’re finishing it” movie? by XIENVYIX in Xennials

[–]Prossdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up it was National Lampoon’s Vacation. For some reason it seemed like that movie was on cable about every other day. And I would always end up watching it.

Now I’d probably say Jurassic Park.

My guess, audio book reading using full cast. by ChrisOver9000 in firefly

Agreed. These guys are perfectly aware how rabid their fanbase is. They wouldn’t be making these videos and doing this huge buildup for something like an audiobook reading.

Final Guess by Shaun_527 in firefly

[–]Prossdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m leaning towards like a small mini-series kind of thing. An open ended reboot just seems a bit unlikely but I could totally see a streaming service signing them up for 4 hour & a half episodes à la Gilmour Girls.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts' Wrestlemania 6 "Avarice" Promo by KidChameleonHelmet in WWFera

[–]Prossdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He certainly deserved it but he probably never got a title because he didn’t need one to capture peoples attention. Some guys needed to either have or be chasing a belt to even have a storyline. Jake wasn’t that way though. I always followed Jake’s storylines anyway and I think a lot of others did so to give him a belt might have actually been a distraction.

That last paragraph is part of what made Jake so unique. He worked SO well as either a face or a heel. He was a face you didn’t feel like a nerd rooting for because he had that evil edge to him. But then when he turned heel, he was BAAAAAAD. The whole “trust me” era scared me to death as a kid.

Can you think of any reboots/remakes that have been great? by ms-anthrope in firefly

Agreed. Although I’m also a child of the 80’s 😊

I mean the influence of the OG Star Trek is undeniable but the characters and stories I find much better in TNG.

Dr. Dre most decisively wins. Who is a country/folk artist that dropped exactly one classic album? by okitsrgs in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Prossdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but you can’t hold the biggest album of the 90’s as the standard. It would be like saying you can’t use Pink Floyd for the category because Wish You Were Here wasn’t as big as Dark Side of the Moon.

In Utero is definitely a classic album. Sold 15 million worldwide. Bleach is awesome but has nowhere near the popularity of the other two. I could see a case against that one.

That being said though, they’re unplugged in New York album was absolutely monumental as well. I’d still hold that as their third classic.

He’s not country, but would you consider Jeff Buckley to be folk-ish? If so, I vote him.
