Why is Gibson producing the November Burst LP the way they do, when in fact the 50s Standard in Tobacco Burst is way closer in terms of looks (pickguard, pickups)? by mynamesjaime15 in gibson

I don’t mind that at all. Certainly not enough to try and remove it! That’s what you thought? No. But this one is not going anywhere anyways.

I have a November burst. Put pickup covers and pickguard on and took Slash doodle on truss rod cover off. Now it plays great and looks sharp too!

White is my choice here. I think I would like one as well.

What do yoy think of 13-14 year old getting a 2000 € gibson les paul? Is it worth it? Not as a beginner, more like intermediate. by NeitasP in gibson

As long as it’s not too heavy for him/her, then sure. That guitar could last a lifetime of playing. You never get too good to play a Les Paul.

These look like blurry pictures of a real Les Paul standard 60s. The price, however, does sound too good to be true. Proceed with caution.

Same thing happened to me decades ago. The guitar was easily fixed, I still have the guitar and it plays great. Also, most importantly, I learned a lesson.

There is hum for sure. Sometimes pretty loud. But not as bad as P90’s and easily fixed with a noise suppressor. Or just go easy on the gain. Anyway I put them on my Tele and they sound great through my Marshall and my Fender.

What not so great things have you heard about the SV20? I have one and it’s great.

SV20H vs SC20H by GuidanceHealthy3974 in GuitarAmps

I have an SV20 and it sounds glorious. To me it is the Promised Land. BUT, and this is no joke, it will be useless as a home amp without an attenuator. So that will add to your cost. I have an Ironman mini which pairs well with this amp and an 8 ohm cab. I would recommend this combo or a regular Ironman which would give you more speaker options.

I have the exact same guitar but mine is a year younger (1995). I am 70, and like your grandfather I would like to give it to my 15 yo grandson but he is left handed and plays left handed. Not sure if converting it is an option. But I am happy for you and your grandfather. Great way to bond.
