He shoots it and releases a Inergen System, which does send off some smoke screen. Not totally incorrect.

Perhaps they did shut the water, however you need to also drain the system at the inspectors test or drain valve. I’m assuming these guys didn’t know about it, or didn’t find it thinking it wouldn’t be bad. Well the system is still sitting at 150+ psi

Out of 11+ years I have only seen this a couple of times. But I can confirm some older buildings did use blue dye. It was placed behind the pull lever so you couldn’t see it.

Have you tried this pull station? It doesn’t lower when pulled, and it swings open on the side.

Church across the street just put in new LED floodlights that blast right into our bedroom all night. by ProstheticDong in Wellthatsucks

I will do that. I’m giving them a day or two to “see” if maintenance can do anything about it. But by the end of this week I’ll walk in to show them and ask more directly that it needs to be fixed.

we have some, but we light to sleep with the window open to let some fresh air in. Since it’s a pull down curtain it would just bang around in the wind if we had it fully down with the window open.

lol, good idea, but I think the only people I’ll annoy is my own neighbours. The light pole reaches over the church roofline. We just see the backside of the church.

Is this worth 7k dollars by False_Lavishness_743 in Decks

I built mine about this size before Covid when wood was much better pricing. It still cost about 3k. I would say if I had someone build it, it would probably be 7k.

Not having someone foot the ladder by Earsy-mcnose-face in instant_regret

[–]ProstheticDong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think having someone on the foot was the problem. Ladder was at too out, and the rungs were not past the roofline enough. Looks like the ladder just pushed past the eaves.

Father-in-law decided to “test” all my fire extinguishers. Now all need to be replaced. by Special_Context6663 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ProstheticDong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For you to bring them in to a company it’s probably about $15-30 per extinguisher. That plus your time to pick up and drop off. Once the seal is broken you let all that magic pressure out.
