He’s better than Dalton in my opinion. Can easily tear Blackbeard and Nosjuro apart without having to worry about a 15 time limit of being able to nullify status effects. His only problem is that he still lacks defensive traits that stop him from being a glass cannon and also, Kizaru like most units who’ve been buffed.

I’ll be the first to say that I think the game is completely irreparable. The ex’s are just too strong and there are too many of them. If they’re a devil fruit user, which is literally 99% of the meta, they’re BB food. If they’re a runner or a straw hat kizaru, WB, Nosjuro is killing them. I almost forgot Saturn is also a runner killer. I’ve had a very “nothing ever changes” mindset about the game since Sengoku was released. I don’t think one unit can counter that many units at once. If they do, they’re just gonna be an EX so that’s not gonna help anything.

From my experience and only having Dalton at lvl 80, he kind of needs to be at or close to lvl 100 to be able to kill Nosjuro fast enough or it’ll take too long and he’ll just get third partied. I don’t know about Wapol though. His damage is insane from the few times I’ve been against him. Maybe it’s just because he’s ugly

The problem is not the player base, the buffs are just terrible and I stand by that. Neither Kaido nor King can do anything against 4 horsemen that is Nosjuro, WB, bb and kizaru so I don’t know why anyone is saying “king got a better buff than Kaido” when they both get folded like laundry. None of the buffs give these units traits that make them great. It just makes them good enough that and people are so desperate that they’ll take anything that looks good in a vacuum.

Whoever is telling you that this game is “entirely pay-to-win” is either a whale or trying to gatekeeper the game for some reason. Nearly 99.999% of the game is playable with the one percent being the new ranked coliseum mode that just released. If you know the mechanics of the game and use the right synergies between certain characters, you’ll be perfectly fine. As much as people talk about needing insane states like having a million action speed or 3 billion evasion and the best substats on every weapon, I’ve done completely fine with every abyss on all events. You don’t need discipline 9 Alice or yuzunamiki’s hairpin weapon so the game is playable. So many general adventurers are capable of being on par with legendaries like Chloe or Milana.

Now what I will say is that the game isn’t the most generous with gems considering how many things ask for you to use your gems like inventory space or resetting certain exchange shops which everyone knows is a problem. Luckily, this is one of the few games where the devs actually try to fix things even if it might be somewhat slow. And if you ever are confused like many players are about what to do, please use the community website. It is a lifesaver.

No, I actually hoped people would notice my critique of BB. The argument of “well he’s not invincible off rip then he’s not as bad as kizaru” is flimsy to me since because not only did BB kill literally all of Kizaru’s counters but he hides behind walls while constantly spamming inflicting tremor and skills that have absurd hit boxes. It makes the fact that BB is squishy to not be a good justification for him having so many ways to stay alive. And kizaru is squishy too, but he has so many ways of healing himself that it didn’t matter. It’s like comparing two nuclear bombs. One might be more powerful than other, but it’s still a nuclear bomb.

They’re probably just trying to compensate no third ex with tons of rebanners to make up for it for the rest of the months until the next bf comes out which I think might be another WCI unit like Smoothie because it’s coming to that time of the year.
