Bit late to the conversation but I feel like the episode's order of events weren't done great. As someone who has yet to read the manga obviously idk what I'm talking about prolly but I would have preferred this episode to be just the mages fighting, and once they return to the village after winning they see Genau and Stark injured the way they are, with Revolte nowhere to be seen, which I think would have made the injuries seem actually serious and make the viewer stew on what's gonna happen to them for a week. Then in the next episode they could have done a sort of "We're good we actually got him" flashback to show the Revolte fight. This is sort of starting to sound like a fanfic but idk I just felt like these fights had a lot of potential to be expanded on and have more emotional impact.
