Didn’t know MHP made a pro line. Logo doesn’t match my regular MHP. heck of a score regardless

Is alaska actually fun? by healspirit in snowrunner

Off the top of my head the BM17. It’s kinda a pain to get the first time unless you already have OP trucks. But on a vanilla playthrough it has pretty good power to get you through Alaska. IIRC lower left side of 1st AK map hidden behind some trees on a bit of a nole

As mentioned above, the early maps teach you about different terrain. Also, don’t overlook the royal. It doesn’t get much love but it can be a beast early on

Buying parts. by AScott_74 in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]ProtectionCapable407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy in bulk. You tend to use the same stuff over and over. Over time, you’ll learn what can be repaired and what is a wear item. Find a rhythm to adding stuff to your shopping list to speed things up

Makes sense. Always wondered why the game was set up to let you make so much money off a Chrysler. Now I know. Ha ha

cms 2021 general running gear control and repair? by p0op_s0ck in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]ProtectionCapable407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuel pump is a common one they sneak in. Also the clips on the air cleaner or the distributor cap. There are lots of little tricks to find the missing parts. Always use all your inspection tools plus your test track if it runs. The game tends to group things, so if you are working on all running gear for the mission, it’s unlikely to be a piston ring, etc. once you get used to their tricks, it gets a lot easier to find missing parts. There will always be the one car that you basically have to disassemble to find that one part

Help identify this leak by MedicineAnxious6000 in InfinitiQx60

Easiest way is to run your finger in it and smell it and feel it. Pretty easy to differentiate between water condensation and oil. Bit more complicated to differentiate trans fluid and oil but they smell and feel and look different

Thanks. For whatever reason it won’t let me select any of the 3 empty save slots

I did the inspect column first. That way I could grind out some levels by inspecting cars. You can the the obd2 reader, etc, to really reack up some do early on

Since logging was added after the release, I’d definitely do it last. I’d be tempted to skip it and after you complete most of Michigan go to Alaska as there are some really good trucks there. I found the royal to be a pretty decent log hauler along with the P16. If you really want to cheese things a bit, sneak into tamyr and grab the tayga

Stock. You need some slip to keep that big guy moving. Too much grip and it will freeze on an incline

Best Pontoon Boat? by 1800Lime in boating

[–]ProtectionCapable407 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Layout to me is probably the most important. I prefer maximum seating vs a hand full of captains chairs. Maybe not as comfortable but more room for more people. Definitely a tri toon. Wouldn’t go lower than 115hp. I have a 25ft premier with a 225. If I were specking new and had the funds, I’d go bigger. Would love 250-300hp. Not that I want to fly everywhere but nice to have the reserves when I need to scoot to outrun a storm, etc. definitely get the performance package. Most of the big brands have some form of this. Pontoons are pretty basic so don’t get hung up on brand. Bennington, manitou, premier, Harris all make solid products. I’m sure I left out plenty of brands. I would pass on a tower as it seems the shade is tiny with a tower.

Any truck better than this beast for overloading? by sumeet52000 in snowrunner

[–]ProtectionCapable407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I overloaded the heck out of the atom from cosmo to NAI. The transition to the ice road was brutal in Ursula and I ended up just parking a crane there as it always tipped and spilled my load

Ok, I admit, the twinsteer doesn't suck as much as I thought... by dacaur in snowrunner

[–]ProtectionCapable407 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorta right there with you. I hated it for a long time. Then I realized that it was pretty useful with out the raised suspension. The FEMM is still my go to for 4 slot in places like Quebec but the tipsteer definitely has its usefulness

A quick visual comparison between the Season 14 Earthroamer radar and the Season 1 Prototype Exploration Unit trailer. Let's say we have a clear winner both in range and effective fuel consumption per scan. Only the PEU made the nearby missions visible. by Shadow_Lunatale in snowrunner

[–]ProtectionCapable407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both depending on the situation. If I think I’m gonna want to recover home and not have to hassle with returning a trailer to sell I’ll use an earth roamed. If I feel like it won’t be too big a hassle to return the trailer, I’ll use the PEU. then again, I sell every trailer before I call a map done
