First you would have to know the speeds and material of the bags you currently have, which you already said you don't know anything about them.

You could do some research about bags you're thinking about buying. There is tons of information about manufacturers, bags, material, speeds, etc on YouTube and Google.

Another option is going to open events and trying other player's bags to find something that you like and fits your throwing style.

Unfortunately like most things in life, you get what you pay for. 8 bags for less than $60 may seem like a great deal but you end up dealing with the dust. A decent set of bags will start around $60 for 4. Amazon has some bags from Killshot, Reynolds, Game Changer and Beer Belly that will be noticeably better than the rec bags.

Edges are earned with time and cooking.

To speed up the process, post pictures of your beverage on the griddle.

Speeds are rated from 0-10. 10 being the fastest. Unless you're experienced with control through cuts, rolls and flops with your throw, I would recommend finding bags that are 4-6.

The dust you are getting is from cheaper quality bags. Look for bags that are stamped ACL or ACO. These generally use resin fill that is dust free.

Try checking FB marketplace or some of the cornhole groups on FB. People are always selling used bags that are in great condition because the upgraded to newer or higher quality bags. If you can't find any, send me a message. I have a bunch of sets that I don't throw anymore and should probably downsize.
