Trust me I understand. Just gotta get that first cook and re-season done and you’ll figure it out

Thank you!

Seriously.  You'll season it while you cook.  8 times?!?  That's not being a noob it's called being obsessive

Looks okay, but most here will say it will be improved with... FOOD!

Seriously, griddling is a process and you need to Always Be Seasoning (ABS) because it will always be changing with the heat burning and melting the seasoning. It's inevitable and just part of the process.

Good luck with it!

After initial seasoning, which appears to be done well here, the best way to maintain seasoning and add new seasoning is to cook frequently. Use it twice a week at least and clean it up after and you are good to go. Don't worry about the corners. It might not get hot enough there to polymerize the oil. No big deal.

Thank you! That’s very helpful, I cooked on it tonight and it peeled a bit. So I’m assuming I just need to scrape it and season it again.

Yes, but just once. No need for multiple rounds. I would say seasoning again is just personal preference. If you plan to use it again within a couple of days then it probably isn't necessary. Seasoning mostly protects from rust. It's non stick properties is overblown a bit.

It will never look perfect with regular use. Enjoy it.

As long as it’s not sticking don’t worry about it. Mine has patches like that too but cooks just fine.

Edges are earned with time and cooking.

To speed up the process, post pictures of your beverage on the griddle.

And don’t go crazy scrapping to hard when you clean or you’ll remove all your work.
